Possibilty is they might have been out at garstang the previous night and didnt get re-fuelled when they went back to depot after the grammer school run.

Interesting, thought CE needed it for a specific school contract...down for work?
Or it broke down on Sunday when it could have been down Morecambe area, operating from Penrith. Heard something about their being 4 tacho'd vehicles operating from Penrith on Sunday, going down to Morecambe. CE only have 3 tacho'd coaches, so other vehicles would have to be some of the 6 tacho'd B10M's.

Down daily (for most of this week I think) from Carlisle and operating between Penrith and Morecambe for a major supermarket chain as some sort of shuttle. Confused some of the staff at White Lund when it came for layover as it was parked on the back fence and they thought it had joined others for storage!

ASDA have take over Netto in Morecambe (and in fact every Netto in the country) and are retraining all the staff, so maybe doing the retraining in Cumbria? It opens next week I believe. Can't think of anything else Supermarket related going on...

There isn't an ASDA in Penrith. However, it could be in connection with the new Booth's store which is due to open in November?

Freshers won't be till the beginning of October and I imagine ME will have enough stored/reserve to cover any extra needs!

Rubbish they are often on the 31. nice to see two more low liner busses out and about on the 30 31 aswell they might be old but better than step busses

No, actual proper traffic moving at some speed. Heading out past Claughton on Sunday around 3.45-4.00. So gobsmacked i forgot to get it's number but it was out of service.

At the risk of getting told off by mbonwick, Chorley have had some odd workings recently.
Yesterday morning saw Dart 34679 do a round trip (Chorley-Preston-Manchester) on the X61, and today 34680 had a play out.
I sincerely hope that 17021 is going to be a short-term loan. It is a truly horrible machine, made all the worse by the fact that it has the driver's seat from a Solo (so it won't adjust high enough for us tall people) and the steering wheel won't adjust. I've already thrown it in once for these defects, but it keeps appearing.
Here's hoping that 17018/19/21 get replaced soon. I had the misfortune to be allocated 17018 today for a 125 to Bolton. The acclerator is either 'on' or 'off'. There is no happy medium meaning it is impossible to keep a constant speed on A-roads. Trouble is, they are low-floor so that probably means that we are stuck with them.
Think I'd rather drive a 709D!

A dart out on X61 certainly is unusual! Can't see it going down too well with either pax or driver though!
