The inner recesses of my tortured mind.
Already halfway there

Not quite the same colours, but you get the idea!
Is anyone else seeing a bit of Bristol VR in it?

I like that, I like that a *LOT* :D

Wonder if Les Burton could be persuaded to let Chorley paint one like that...?

53338 flying around today with PX59 CVB on the front, and its correct reg PX59 CVD on the rear.
It was running late, replaced by 22598.
20918, 20945, mini Dart 34218 and long Dart 34616 on 30/31. Would have made more sense having 34218 on the little used 53, with long Dart 35247 on 31.

52626 broke down on the 685 yesterday on it's last trip en route to Carlisle, 20904 replaced it for the final run.

On Friday 52626 was used on the 600 instead of 47018 which was allocated and then replaced a Dart on the 38 do the Dart could go onto the 93 instead of the Coach.

I saw 52626 on a 66 on Friday - guess which idiot went into Carlisle without a camera

Yeah 52626 had to be kept local due to a defect. It replaced 47018 on the 66 to save 47018 going to Cockermouth on the 600 and then it came back and did a 38.

Has summer service X58 been extended?
Just been looking at the new X4/X5-X50 timetable (valid from 4th September 2011), and it says the X58 runs 25th July to 29th October. The Lakesrider timetable says 25th July to 3rd September.

22597 and 22599 both on 300-302.
20473, 20913 and 20945 on 30/31. 20913 was replaced by 35246 when Roadworks Shuttle was pulled off mid-afternoon.

22104 and 22108 are seemingly being prepared for service at Lillyhall, should hopefully be out this week, replacing 20436 (already out of use) and 1 other B10M (possibly 20994). It seems they'll be used wherever needed, rather than giving the accessible advertised extra X5's a proper low floor allocation.

Enviro200 36184 working the 150/151 route today. Been out for a couple of quick pictures this afternoon http://www.flickr.com/photos/davidsnwtransport/6021679421/in/photostream

Stagecoach have been sending out single deckers (mostly Versas) on the route since the two "Boomerang" branded Solos moved to Chorley. I do think the 113 Wigan route could do with being single deckers. Its often busy through out the day and would probably cope better with the larger size vehicle, unlike the 150/151.

Have there been any service changes on VOSA for the X58? Personally I cannot see it and seems to be an oversight. Would means keeping another B10M on too.

Those Mans should be in service anytime now as they are not going to Kendal for this year but should be there for next year. The contract was not signed off in time for anything to happen for this summer unless they decide to operate it for a couple of weeks which would seem pointless.

20795 is in the paintshop at Carlisle at present but I doubt it will be used at Carlisle unless they are planning to get another B10M off in it's place. 34691 has still not undergone a repaint and is still having bodywork attention. I would imagine when this comes back out another B10M will be disposed off, 20545 being likely.

67/68 34708 on the 60 this morning.

Was supposed to be 20436 and 20994 but things tend to change with Stagecoach. Have to say its great news that 436 is finally off! Never liked the thing!

No, Stagecoach appear to have escaped (touch wood) as far as I know...

Rioting has sparked up in Manchester City Centre. I'm sure SC have pulled all their city services and brought the buses back to the depots.

Disruptions in Manchester City Centre

Roadworks/ Disruptions

Service Update

Information provided at 1900 09/08/2011

Following police advice and cordens, Stagecoach Manchester are unfortunately having to terminate outside of the city centre. This is a moving siutation and we will work as hard as we can to keep this page updated.

WILMSLOW ROAD - all Wilmslow Road services are terminating at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Flixton services are terminating at City Inn

255 is terminating at Deansgate

85/86 Chorlton services are terminating at Royal Northern College of Music

X50 is terminating at Deansgate

250 is terminating at Royal Northern College of Music

192 and 200 services are terminating at Ardwick roundabout

76 terminating at Bradford Road

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this situation which is completely beyond our control.

We have also been advised that the Tram is terminating on the south side of the city at Deansgate.

It was nice to see, and hear, 3 Leyland's on short 555's today :D 14248, 14256 and 14259.
33170 out on Kendal Town's.
B10M's on 505, 516 and 517 as is seemingly usual these days, now that 505 isn't advertised as a low floor, or bike carrying, service.

Just a little point with timetables I feel like bringing up. Is there any particular reason that the 555 gets back to Keswick as the X5 to Workington is leaving, throwing away all chances of making the connection, leaving passengers stood out in the cold for another hour until the next one comes along? On paper, there is a 3 minute gap to make the connection, but I've yet to see any connection actually happen. X5 always leaves bang on time due to its ridiculously long layover in Keswick, and 555 is always late in due to increased traffic in central lakes.

16334 and 18139 both on X35.

Brett, expect changes for next years summer season to a lot of connections and a lot of other services in the Lakes. Things will improve.

Torrential rain in lovely West Cumbria this morning, so much so it was only right for a Manchester MAN to appear today......22104 was sat on the annex not too long ago when I drove past, has nothing on the blinds, but an inspector looked to have a handfull of destination boards.

No sign of it, or 22108, around while I've been out and about this afternoon.
20945 on short 302.
2 Oly's on 30/31.

The back end of 47059 has been repainted. Bright red on the back looks weird against the discoloured red swoops on the sides. Full rear bumper has been repainted too.

No sign of 22104/8 again. 1 Oly, 1 B10M and 2 long Darts on 30/31. Everything else was pretty much usual allocations.

Suppose 47006 could have been a better suited allocation, instead of on Lowca 1... ouch!
(47616 in depot, 47006 was Moorclose earlier in morning)
