In addition to the abolition of the 4 day explorer and replacement with a 3 day, and the fare rises, I believe single/return fares will also be going up at the end of the month for at least Cumbria.

A 3 day explorer makes more sense than a 4 day for long weekends, but what we really need is a 5 day one for all of us who use the bus to get to work/school!

Cumbria's went up at the end of last year also! A Workington Dayrider will be cheaper than a Return in most cases (similar to other areas of NW), unless they decide to change that too. Stagecoach lack competition in West Cumbria!

Not relevant to NW, (but me being in NE and we are on the subject) Newcastle's fares also went up today £3.50 for a Dayrider from £3.40, but special £3.50 return fare for trips to/from Newcastle, and also a £4.50 Dayrider Plus ticket, which will be valid throughout Tyne & Wear have apparently been introduced.

The £3.50 dayrider has always been valid throughout Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. It is now just valid in Tyne & Wear. The new £3.50 return ticket is a special one for use on the X77/78/79 for residents from the Northumberland bits of these routes (i.e. Darras Hall & Ponteland). The £4.50 dayrider Plus ticket will allow travel in both Tyne & Wear and Northumberland, effectively forcing Darras Hall & Ponteland residents to pay an extra £1.10 compared to yesterday if they want to use more than just the X77/78/79.

17325 is there as well. So if all those numbers are correct there should be 9 there. However one went by Cambridge. Not sure whether it broke on its way up or whether it is going to Cambridge once converted...

They often seem to be more messed up on a Monday... wonder if it's because how they're parked up in their Durranhill yard after doing Sunday services?

The joys of using netbook instead of my laptop! 9 too close to the 0!

Forgot to say before that 24122 is on 38! Quite a few missing Darts today! 33076 missing, and only 32 of the 39 "Citi" Darts out (2 are accident damaged).

I still can't fathom Wales insatiable appetite for Dart SLFs!
The majority of their fleet are R reg ALX200s, so these aren't exactly an upgrade! There's only 1 step dart down there, 32940 IIRC for ASDA work...

It will be interesting to see with the E200s though; although they are for an upgrade to Blackwood's 26, Wales are also having a reorganisation with all the work currently at the ex-Glyn Williams Pontllanfraith depot moving to IBT.
Some Caerphilly work may also move, but I don't know how this will affect PVR (if at all).

Early birthday present for me then!
I think 34079 should go into preservation for the amount of times it has broken.
and can anyone tell me why 34215 is off to South Wales.

Today's pictures from town are uploaded please note; Pictures are rather blurry because I took them with my Phone.

53336 and 15684 were sat on annexe when I got back from uni.
52628 came in on X4, and was replaced by 53336.

47060 and 47062 have replaced 20473 and 20923 on Moorclose Circulars.

34048 and 47721 swapped over in Carlisle at some point this afternoon.

47022 is apparently almost ready to hit the streets of Carlisle! A lot of mechanical work has been done to make it usable, just trying to get the displays programmed! It was taken around 77/77A last week and managed to get around the route, so could well be a spare for the Slimline's now instead of manual gearbox 42672 (which has just been repanelled, repainted and retrimmed! Seat structure has been painted blue too!).
Carlisle's flip dot displays are finally going to be re-programmed at the weekend, ready for the service changes on Monday morning. B10M's might actually show "Annan 79 Connect for Dumfries" now, instead of just showing their old "Dumfries 79 via Gretna & Annan"!
