Hmm dont know about that! 47024 is a squealing banshee and since 47023 broke down and was out of action for a while towards the end of last year, It suprised me how nippy it was when it returned! Havnt had a PO51 or a KX51 for a while though on Moorclose, surprisingly its been 04's and 08's when I've came home! I'd have a PO over a KX though haha

I'm in Carlisle tommorow so pictures will be uploaded soon as I get back I'll wonder down depot again I think see whats down! :) route allocations on soon as I get back so... Stayed Tuned In :D I had 47024 today on 46, I like its squeeling noise It must have some mice inside it's engine.

34689 which was in the paint shop yesterday looks like it has been rushed out as has no vinyls of any sort at the front or on the drivers side of the bus at all. Not sure about the door side. Does not look like it has seen any paint yet either.

34048 on service 69

20436 came into the bus station earlier with Workington X5 on the bright tech, with a very small number of passengers on board. 53339 was around 2 minutes behind it on X5.

34616 on 30 and 31.

42577 now for sale with Stafford Bus Centre.

Went out to get 34048 on the 38 earlier but turned out to be a complete waste of time. Either the Saturday boards are different to weekday or they did some pointless changing over.

34048 was on the 69, then did the 66 as normal but sat in the bus station for an hour before leaving for the depot with 20904 going onto the 38 instead. 47722 came in on the 73 and the driver of that took 34048 back to the depot with 47722 parking in the layover likely to be for the 75 tonight. Possible the inspector wanted 47722 instead of 34048 I suppose.

34719 went out onto the 79/179 at 18.00. IIRC this board runs off a 600 and is normally a B10M. 34703 came in on the 93 and went out on the 71, not sure if it had the day in Annan or if it works off something else on a Saturday.

Just a quick question about day rider pricing
why is Morecambe day rider £4.10 and only can be used over a small area Heysham - Morecambe - Lancaster - Carnforth and uni areas
but a Manchester day rider is £3.50 (going up to £3.70) and can be used on a huge network including services from Bolton - Stockport and Aston - Glossop
bit of a rip off at Morecambe is there a reason for this council funding or something

What is changing?
Your English National Concessionary Travel Card (ENCTS)has been designed so that it is also a smartcard - this means it can be read electronically by the ticket machines on buses. From the 28th March 2011 the ticket machines on Stagecoach Buses in Manchester will have the technology to enable this to happen. You DO NOT need to apply for a new card.
Your ENCTS card is part of a national arrangement to offer you FREE travel on local buses at the following times:
Between 0930 and 2300, Monday to Friday
All day Saturday and Sunday
All day Bank Holidays

How does it work?
If you are travelling on one of our buses during the above times, rather than showing your pass to the driver, you simply:
Place the card phot face up onto the reader
Keep it there until a green light shows and the machine beeps
Remove the card, find a seat and enjoy the journey.

Should do this in the NW speed up boarding and journey times and save money with no tickets needed

You will find this sort of price difference all over the country. Arriva and other companies do the same. Just the way it goes!

The only reason why the Morecambe day rider is dearer than Manchester, is there is no competion in Morecambe, and in Manchester there is plenty of competion.

You get several B10M's on that each day in between duties on 66's & 600's etc.

34703 has been on 93 all day dunno what went on Annan.

Also was in Manchester today and i had a ride on a First B9TL and an E400
service 250 19527 and service 22 37394 i think and have to say the E400 was hundred times more comfy and clean and less vandalism and much smoother faster ride where as the B9 was quite slow and making this stupid very loud hissing noise, the seats were like rocks dirty and lots of vandalism on it.

That means the same bus is on the 93 all day then. Which makes some sense going back from what I remember the last time I studied the Saturday operations. 34214 likely to be in Annan but must only do the Annan 80 and then back to depot. 52629 has just been touched up and looks a bit better offside now. Best Coach at Carlisle, its out 6 days a week normally unlike the other useless pair!

I'm still waiting for a ride on 52635 but It's alway's on Private Hire work every saturday morning. But never mind I'm off to Preston in Easter to see what they have to offer.

BTW I do prefer 52627 compared to 52626 and 52628.
52629 the best Jonck.
52627 the Second best Jonck.
52628 the 3rd best.
52626 the Worst by a mile.

Best bet to get on 52635 is to go on a day trip!

It would be nice for the other useless pair to have a bit of a touch up!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/williamsonm/5556422595/ (my picture of the patchy and dented 52626)

52626 left Newcastle on the Thursday (1545) with a lot of engine fan noise and a rather squeally gearbox, also quite a bit of exhaust smoke. 52627 was better but had the driver peering at the engine for while, hot Jonck!?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/williamsonm/5556423443/ (also my picture)

52629 is a much better coach agree!

Reason for 52629 being done! That isn't just something reflecting off it, it is a nice rather long scrape right down the side! Had a nice bit of green paint near where the orange comes up onto that stretch of panel!

Ahhh, I missed that one! I was thinking paint touch up haha
Rather nasty wound, forced its way passed somewhere, on the drivers side too

Where did the 2 Jonks from Preston end up going when they were taken off the X61's.

Also, does anyone have a fleet list for Stagecoach NW that details fleet number, reg number and depot for all the vehicles. Used to have one but lost it when my PC dumped its hard drive. Thanks

52614 is at Carlisle for repaint at present. Presume the other is stored at Preston for now?

I'm having problems uploading the pictures from yesterday's Carlisle trip to my Computer, which means they'll be probaly uploaded sometime next week! I'll tell you when they are all up like I usually do.

Mojo put the forum clocks forward an hour eh? to avoid confusion for members.
