From what I've heard its all a bit up in the air  Probably Preston slowing things down, as 16651 is ready to roll! At least we've kept the best one till last ;)

Pride of the fleet 17017 and 34079 are still VOR.

The only thing delaying 16651's departure to Chorley is 16649 which is currently having its gearbox repaired at Chorley, once thats complete the swap will occur in earnest...:D

It was me who said on here that they were going. The point I was making is that they weren't anywhere to be seen in the depot, suggesting they've possibly been moved to Lillyhall for storage or something. Unless they're hidden somewhere at Carlisle, but I'm doubtful, as there isn't really anywhere to hide them all.

Also forgot to mention on my previous posting that 42577 and 42584 have gone from the back corner, and also weren't noticeable anywhere in the depot.

It really does make me wonder what possesses them to put a LF on Staff Shuttle when other services are lacking this type of bus!

Leave 22600 alone, its an awesome machine minus the externally heard sounds, not bad sounding internally... almost normal! Great to travel on :)

I hope Lillyhall keep this up! a fully low floor on town services, cainebj says that all 4 scanias are on 300. I seen 47060 on short 300. And they might just might be all 4 profiles on X4/X5. even 1 bus of the staff shuttle was low floor!

You'd be surprised at who reads this thread. ;)

Or not
Low floor shortages will continue to happen at LL until more suitable vehicles can be brought in, which will probably be never! Seems that the Solo's have started disappearing more often since they started going on the 58 full time.... 34079 is just a big pile of sh*te, only fit for the scrapyard, so thats usually missing!

34048 on 69.
34214 on short 685.
20944 on 66's.
20451 on 94/97.

Reays allocations all over the place. 75 branded Primo on 64, with new YX60 DWV (plain white), and unbranded KX57 FKV on 75. I really don't see why is so difficult in keeping branded buses on the correct routes, especially with a fleet as small as Reays.
Their Travel Shop proving to be useless as well. Apparently an old-ish couple went in to enquire about holidays for summer time. They were told to go back in a few weeks when the 2011 holiday brochure MIGHT be ready. Quite a few buses running totally empty as well. Then there was an extremely filthy Primo hiding the imaginary full load on board. It was even more filthy than Stagecoach's 104 branded MANs, and that is saying something.....

17023 boarded at the Uni with 3 on the blinds then ran dead into town with a full load.
either 20128 or 20131 on X22
Had 15682 on a 2 tot he bus station. It flew up Hala very quickly with no problem at all which was impressive. Very clean inside as well.
16663 seen heading dead toward. May have been doing shuttles between town and Campus.

Thank god that's over. Maybe we will see huge investment in Preston over the coming 12 months!!!

Firstly, the shareholders have yet to make any significant investment and seem to be doing their best to avoid it. Secondly, they have raised most of the purchase cash against the current fleet and most of the rest against their current credibility. Structure will probably be made as arms-length as possible. Preston Bus / Rotala customer loyalty will be key to establish a revenue flow, and others, such as Stagecoach, will know this.

I'm fairly sure Dallamlad was referring to a Stagecoach investment in Preston, which I can see happening in order for Stagecoach to maintain/improve their image and (possibly) market share.

Yes that is what I meant. I didn't mean I hope we see investment from Rotala as I doubt we will with them in their current financial state. What I meant was that I hope we see large investment from Stagecoach in Preston. Hope that clears it up for you.

No. Why would Stagecoach do that? A slow and focussed low-cost death would be less obvious and could be far more economical.

With the Preston Bus thing now sorted and the loss of Deepdale Rd, What are the chances of the Super Depot at Walton Summit for Preston & Chorley fleets being resurected????
