I agree with you there, now we will just after stick with something knackerd like 20436 on the boxing day service. :(

no 20436 on Boxing Day services either! No bus services at all in West Cumbria on Boxing Day!

The only services I'm aware of in the northern half of Cumbria, is a special service on the Carlisle Citi network. They all run hourly. There will be a bus every 30 minutes between Belle Vue - Infirmary - City Centre - Upperby though, due to 67/68 being every hour on each route, leaving a 30 minute frequency across large sections of the route. Harraby East - City Centre will also be half hourly (61 and 61A running hourly each), but then they split off to their variations, making City Centre - Morton West hourly, and City Centre - Morton Park hourly.

Reays buses in Carlisle don't run on Boxing Day, however they are operating some special free services on Christmas day, to allow people in Carlisle to visit relatives in the Cumberland Infirmary on Christmas day. The Infirmary Circular 63 will do 2 runs in the early afternoon, and the 64 will do 1 run early afternoon. Both 63 and 64 will have returning journeys, leaving the Infirmary at 5pm.
Also worth noting that Reays 63/63A will, from 5th January, be extended to Belle Vue, making it almost a full copy of Stagecoach 67/68.
Reays 64 will also no longer serve Belle Vue, and will go straight to Raffles from Morton West. The 64 will also now go to The Courts as well to turn around in City Centre, before returning to West Tower Street, rather than turning down Victoria Place to Hardwicke Circus.

47248 hasn't had its seats done which is a shame. Sure they will do them eventually. I think the interior poles have been painted and it looks very good from the outside. Sounds very winy though lol :)

16666 was on the 2a yesterday and on the 2 today along with 16659.

The dirt on some of the vehicles is getting worse. On the Trident I just had on the 2a you couldn't see stagecoach in Lancaster on the side and the rear end looked like it had been painted brown! Obviously nothing to be done about it in this weather, the sooner the they can use the wash the better!

Similar thing here, obviously. Buses have been getting their windscreens, drivers side window, destination displays, reg plates and lights cleaned whilst sat in Workington Bus Station.

34218 out on Seaton 47 now with 20923.
47005 and 47024 on Moorclose Circulars.
16654 done a few runs on Moorclose's.
14257 on last few 48's.

Normal stuff around today, ran past the depot before and just the usual selection of leylands and B10s on the back fence with a 709d. Any news on 16103?

16103 is lettered up for Stagecoach in Lancashire with Ribble legals so could be off to Chorley/Preston in the new year. 14195 is withdrawn next to it, with not a lot of movement from the reserve/scrap area since well before Christmas. It can be confirmed that 47248 hasn't been re-trimmed and retains original seating.

Ahhh so maybe something to do with the mass Oly shift. It has been down as a maybe for Chorley on the last two fleetcards so it could end up there.

I was on 47248 the other day, shame about the seats but as I said sure they will get round to it eventually!

Only just had a chance to report this one: on 24th December 52629 was seen on the 66 in Carlisle and was photographed by my other half

http://www.stephenmitchell.fotopic.net/p68553932.html

Used to see coaches off the 685 working the 66 on Sundays, but I don't recall seeing a coach on the 66 on a weekday before.

[reays digression]

Wednesday seems an odd day to start operating revised services. The 63/63A will still include the Harraby and Botcherby section: looking at the timetable suggests the timings are very tight now the Belle Vue extension is included.

In addition to the revised 64 there is now a 64A, running from the Beeches, off Wigton Road, to Asda, taking in Houghton, Harker and Crindledyke.

All these routes also gain Sunday aservices during shopping hours as well. I was expecting some retrenchment from Reays, whereas these changes are an expansion, as the PVR will increase by 2 vehicles.

20436 on Moorclose 50 sounding as healthy as ever - replaced 20945
47024 on Moorclose 51 still squealing away - replaced 34218
both were replaced on the 12:30/12:45 runs... unless traffic is bad in Workington, which is likely!

Some of the Reays City Hopper services were looking rather busy when I was in Carlisle and they weren't all NoW Card holders! I think people are slowly warming to the Flopper! Will see what the new year brings! Also worth pointing out is that the new Reays City Centre Travel Centre is opening sometime in January 2011 on Devonshire Street in Carlisle City Centre.
