And one assumes 16331 will be benefitting from the rear of 16655, now that it's having its accident damage repaired.

47721 on Buttermere 77A.
16393 on 78.

18374 up on X8.

20129 on Seaton.
47007 and 47616 on Harrington.
47006 on Moorclose 50.
20919 was on Moorclose 51 early afternoon, but was replaced by 47617.
42025 on 58 as usual.
47023 on Maryport Town Circulars.

Cockermouth Main Street is closed this weekend, with a rather dodgy diversion in place for cars. i'm not sure if the buses are following it. drove down it myself earlier today, and found it a bit tight in a car, never mind a bus!

Two things of interest from Captain Slow today...

52628 on an excursion to Blackpool!!! passed me at 8:15 on Curzon street.. Was rather suprised to see that one allocated for a long haul!!
Shall I call Barry P now? haha

And second...

34616 on my 30 home from work... I must say, in the past 6 month, this one had got worse!! On tickover, sounds like a 6LXB at full throttle, and shakes like hell!! still rather nippy, but my hearing will never be the same again!!!

That's beyond a joke! Why go on a smelly Joncky all the way to Blackers, when you could go on a nice coach operated by a local independent? Just the sort of thing that plays right into the hands of Reays. Trips such as these should be done by a proper coach, such as the Mistral, or RBZ, oh, yeah, they've turned it into a trainer!!! Rant over.

shame the ex National Express Paragon's havn't moved up for private hires!
i still thought it was better when VRR and RBZ were on day trips. at least both of them were 46 seat "executive" Plaxton Expressliners around the same age! both extremely tidy inside as well! not a 44 seat "executive" Jonckheere Mistral alongside a 51 seat "interurban" Jonckheere Modulo! even though 52628 was retrimmed and had ceiling re-covered, the floor is still awful, and it still has the awful "wall" coverings that have become damaged after 11 years of TransCumbria services!

20934 has been repainted into full Stagecoach Corporate livery, having only been done a few months ago.

thought this was to be the ASDA bus in their livery!!!

i was under the impression it was to be in ASDA livery as well. clearly not! suppose we'll see when it starts! unless any more information comes through to us!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

lack of fleetnames on the side is interesting! pending some sort of branding perhaps?

in other news:
47751/2 (plain white ex PB Solo's) and 47756 have been transferred to Stagecoach Yorkshire.
47757 has been transferred to Stagecoach Manchester

<( they were ideal for West Cumbria

Once again, its to do with how much budget West Cumbria has to spend on hiring the vehicles from Stagecoach UK Bus, I can imagine the Scanias have taken up a large percentage of their budget for this year and that Yorkshire being a bigger company and in some cases having bigger depots and having invested a lot last year will still have some money to invest in older vehicles this year.

Interesting, are they coming from within the region or been sourced from outside? I'm sure your not wanting to let that much out but no harm in asking lol ;)

Not much to report today, B10 on 4 with 2 MANs on 55 and 81B, 14195,14196 and 14208 all made an appearance at the bus station today.

Me and forum member Mbonwick were commenting on how dirty some of the Hanovers on the MANs look!

Spring Garden Street or rather part of it have been closed for up to a week while they remove a crane so services have been diverted via Dalton square.

04 solos are looking increasingly tatty, will hopefullt be next up for attention after the MANs! :)

Just got back from blackpool due to the delays on the preston-lancaster line(something to do with a track defect) so had to catch the 40 from preston which happened to be 22807 and the rest that went past were scania's.
I have uploaded pics to my recent visit to rigby road depot yesterday.
