No, I will be at Showbus.

Kendal trident 18358 was towed in today.

The tow truck was being hook-up to it, outside Our Ladys High School, when i was driving pass at 12.20.

18327 was sent as replacement then that expired with what turned out to be flat batteries at LBS had to give him 18326. might have been the other way round but it was definately those two involved

There were plenty of head scratching going on around 18326 at abt 13.35:lol:

14267 pulled into the Bus Stn at 16.25, with Sorry Not in Service on its front LED display, but on the side flap-dot it had 530!, as soon as it pulled out again 14248 pulled into its place with paper notices in the front windscreen & on the door say D5.

Passengers hurt in double decker bus crash in Lake District

Last updated at 17:35, Tuesday, 14 September 2010

Passengers were stuck on board a double decker bus after a crash on the A592 road at Aira Force in the Lake District.

A number of people were injured in the crash at 2.24pm, which involved a bus and a Land Rover with a trailer.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The road was closed between Pooley Bridge and Glenridding for about two hours with considerable disruption to motorists.

A Cumbria police spokeswoman said the road was blocked because passengers were unable to get out of the bus, which had been pushed into a verge.

The force said the road was partially reopened and passable just before 5pm.

Service 108, operating from Penrith Outstation, on its way to Penrith Bus Station from Patterdale.

Not sure why 14248 had paper notices in - it's display was fine (though possibly frozen) on D5 this morning (complete with paper as well!)

20711 on the first 552 of the day to Arnside. This then becomes the shuttle which meets the 99 to QES at Milnthorpe.

What if anything was wrong with the Emergency Door(s) ?

Passengers hurt in double decker bus crash in Lake District

Last updated at 11:42, Wednesday, 15 September 2010

Injured passengers were trapped on-board a double decker bus for more than an hour after a crash near a Cumbrian beauty spot.

Four people were hurt in the accident on the A592 at Aira Force, which left the bus door wedged shut against a grass verge yesterday afternoon.

Three passengers were on-board at the time, all of whom needed hospital treatment. None of their injuries were believed to be serious.

Police say the Stagecoach 108 bus from Patterdale to Penrith had been in a collision with a green Land Rover Defender towing a trailer. The driver, a 61-year-old local man, was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with minor injuries.

The road was blocked, causing 45-minute delays on the busy school route after the accident, which happened just after at 2.20.

It remained closed between Pooley Bridge and Glenridding until 6pm, when debris had been cleared.

Stagecoach North West has launched an investigation into the collision.

"hmmm, i'm bored, what should i allocate stupidly today. oh, i know, i'll put a 30 and 31 bus on 47, and put a B10M on 30 and 31 to make old people complain when they have to climb onto the bus to go to hospital!"

The Oly looks to me like 16338, though I'm most likely wrong. Certainly looks to be a write off.

I imagine 16331 may well get repaired to replace it, possibly with salvageable parts?

18358 now back with Kendal, it was swapped onto the 1220 556. 18327 came off, so it must've been 18326 with the dead batteries.

For interest, K762 DAO, the B10M that was painted in all over whits before sale from Barrow? is currently parked up in a HGV Car Park behind Roadrunner Tyres at Forton near Garstang (has been there for sometime according to workmen I spoke to). No legals have been applied and it doesnt appear to have a task disc. Does anyone who owns this vehicle, it does look rather smart in his current paint job.

20902, 20903, 20931 and 20945 on 30 and 31, with 16734.
22600 sounding very awful on 47!
20994 done 1415 48.
looks like all 4 Scania's on 300 at minute. running late as per usual with the Scania's!
16447 still on short 300. sounding rather well! the amount of black smoke has significantly reduced!

it was 16338 that was involved in the accident.

16338 looks a write off. Be interesting to know how the collision actually happened.

will be a while before 22600 ever does a full week on 30/31 I think! Lots of engine noise (engine sounded like it was eating itself) and slow movement!!

47616 on 1
35247 on 2
47061 on 3
47060 on 4
34616 on 31A, 20195 was on around 2pm
("7 solos accounted for" + "1 in Maryport most likely" = "wheres the others three?")

Not Stagecoach related, on the BBC website today; Transport for London have released prototype pictures of the new 'Son of Routemaster' 21st Century replacement decker, which will be built by Wrightbus but design is by TfL and hasn't got a name yet. Prototype is made from plastic, steel and wood

...quite a strange looking machine!

16447, 16652, 16734 and 20994 on 300. its like the Scania's never even existed! 300's have been running to time today, rather than the seemingly often late running Scania's.
20902 on 30 and 31. it was running a 31 to Maryport at the same time as 22609 doing a 30 to Maryport. they usually put everyone on 1 bus to get the 31 back to time, but they didn't.
20921 sounding ill and going rather slowly on 47.
20918 and 47060 Moorclose.
20945 sat on annexe.
20436 been on 600, then done 1325 48. it was also sounding broken.
47007 on Harrington, rather high rear o/s suspension.

15679 and 15681 have gone to scotland for the pope`s visit and when they come back the following events will happen;
14195(for preston),17019 and 17022 to be withdrawn.
The Bri-tech destination blind is to be phased out with 14195 going to preston(no doubt they will change it),20133 and 20463 to have old or new hanover blinds,
21007 is having the L.E.D out of 20127(supposed to be at kendal) which is to gain an hanover flip-dot.

So that's when the 2 get back. What's happening when the remaining Scanias are delivered?

16663 and 21007 on schools at LRGS this PM.

16663 and 21007 on schools at LRGS this PM.

They turned up last thursday and went out on the road yesterday/today apart from 15699 which was awaiting a ticket machine and stagecoach legals.

They've 40,000 people to move to and from Glasgow.

We'll assume each bus is H47/32F (total 79 seats). That's 510 buses.

Admittedly some of the work has been sub-contracted to First, but it's still a huge operation!

Must've missed the posts about the Scanias arriving. Still no end in sight for 14208 then :D
