I take it Kendal will be losing 20128 then? It's put in an appearance on the 552 today.

Or do you mean currently stored 20127?

I enquired about 20127 when i was digging out 20301 but it is staying in the top corner for now and the boss told me we are getting 20128 from kendal for service.

16651/2/3/4 on 300.
20903 short 300.
22600 running around as Staff Shuttle this afternoon.
20473, 20923, 20945, 35248 and either 16447 or 16647 on 30 and 31.
20919 and 47059 on Seaton.
47006 and 47060 on Moorclose.
47005 on Harrington.
20905 done 48.
20994 on X4 again, on same time slot as yesterday.
14234 and a H reg flying around as Staff Shuttles and SL Ltd.
20129 on SL Ltd.
20902 on 53 with non-opt displays.

47617 on 1.
47007 on 3.
47616 on 4.

been on 22610 and 20473 today. have to say, considering 22610 is a MAN E300, i couldn't fault it! well, the doors were sticking a bit, and the "stopping" alarm wasn't working (light came on, and the bell in the drivers cab sounded, but not the alarm at the back), but thats just nit-picking
20473 however, was rather poor! brakes screeching constantly, poor ride quality, gears seemed to be struggling quite a bit too. acceleration wasn't great either. a few passengers suggested getting the brakes oiled a little, to which the drivers response was "it won't get done. them lot are too tight!". when getting off in Workington, he joked "i hope you enjoyed the screeching brakes".

And while i remember, i forgot to mention something i spotted last week, driving around the back end of the bus station, i nearly crashed into the barriers looking in disbelief after seeing a Preston Bus Lynx about to enter the bus station behind me from the other enterance, albeit on a school service..

thought these wern't being used at all now

This would be 29215 [G215KRN]. It is fitted with seat belts and has been in use on a dedicated LCC school contract for at least 3 years. I don't know whether the buyers [whoever that may be] of Preston Bus will still be operating it when the new term starts in September though. If not, bye bye Lynx!!

We'll see what happens with the Olympians then....

It doesn't sound like a good time to be getting a bus in West Cumbria tbh!

Roadworks galore at the minute <(

It would have been 16734, not 16653. It is being kept "local" for the time being.

Speed problems?

Your guess is as good as mine

I guess the original idea was to get the Leylands out of service ASAP, but that hasn't happened.

It's something to do with the orders;
Cumbria are getting 15683-15686, one of the depots down south are getting 15687-15696 and morecambe are getting 15697-15700. I might be wrong

Correct. 15687-15696 are going to Chesterfield. The Cumbria ones WERE due for delivery about 20 August with the other 4 for Morecambe by 10 September. I understand another reason for the gap in delivery is the annual shutdown of ADL for holidays.
