isn't it nice how 18142 has suddenly became PX54 DNJ after having 6 years of PX04 DNJ

a quick search on DVLA brings the bus up as being registered PX04 DNJ.

Route number should be on the right hand side as you stand at the front of the bus nearest the pavement.

There's strict guidelines on how destination display's should be programmed and the correct fonts used.

20436 wasn't great when I had it on X4 back in May. gearbox still sounds rather reluctant to change, even worse than 20779 was before the gearbox gave up!

Indeed. I had a spin to Maryport via Papcastle Bridge on 20435 during the floods and it was a good bus. The EU routes seem to have taken their tole on 20436. It's on them seven days a week now!

20435 was definately better than 20436. just a shame 20436 was the tacho'd one and not 20435 although, 20435 has had a dodgy noise to it for the past few weeks! sounded like the cooling fan spinning out of control a little haha

I'm wondering * if there is one * the voly with the knackered chassis is 16647... seen as though others close to it in the batch have suffered the same fate...

I also wonder how 22600 is coping on the long runs? i would imagine it won't overheat as long as it is going at a constant speed above 30mph, and there is plenty of freah air getting into the vent grilles...

Just a quick message to say I'm back, but only until Friday night...

Saw a UID Scania on the 40/1 from the train last night.

Probably 15681, thats the only one I've every seen on the 40/41 in Preston, about half a dozen times now.

And while i remember, i forgot to mention something i spotted last week, driving around the back end of the bus station, i nearly crashed into the barriers looking in disbelief after seeing a Preston Bus Lynx about to enter the bus station behind me from the other enterance, albeit on a school service..

It appears he's a police volunteer who does Road Safety things with schools (http://www.thewestmorlandgazette.co...76621.Speeding_motorists_quizzed_by_children/)

So I guess it's likely that 20762 will be used in some related capacity.
