It never ceases to amaze me how they make such an arse of things, when I'm off.

This morning at abt 8.55, there were five buses (Four Stagecoach & One Travellers (myself)), were waiting outside the bus station for stands to become free on the north bound side, due to every single stand on the Bus Station already having buses on them.:-x

This evening at abt 18.33, I was unable to get onto a stand on the South bound side until 18.40, I was due to depart at 18.38, when i come to depart i was unable to leave the bus station as some brain dead driver had left a MAN blocking the exit:-x

20134 on Thornhill - Workington Footbridge 30.
33168, 33169 and 47007 on Harrington, 101 and 30S.
47005 on 50. sounded like it had a cat stuck in the engine. was kinda a "MIAOWWWWW" noise when it was accelerating.

20764, 20919 (still screeching like mad), 35247 and 35249 on Maryport - Barepot 30.
20130 on 100.
20473 and 20776 on School services.
20962 on Staff Shuttle to and from footbridge.

footbridge was a bit of a mess vehicle wise today.
20962 was parked up on the bus turnaround, next to the fence, in between the footbridge and the back fence on the turnaround. 2 cars were also down there parked up (illegally). when the school coaches were down, they couldn't turn around properly, due to the 2 parked cars and 20962 being parked up (it is normally right down next to the footbridge, leaving sufficient space for the coaches to turn around).
on the other side at Barepot, school kids were blocking the footbridge, stopping passengers getting off the bridge onto the buses (well, bus. the 30 was there, whilst the 2 school buses sat at the turnaround, and 300 couldn't get down to turnaround). the school buses then went to the footbridge, mounted the pavement, leaving unsufficient space for pedestrians to pass, meaning pedestrians were walking out into the road, into the path of on-coming vehicles.
also, 2 young boys were STOOD in the luggage pen on 20473 whilst the vehicle was leaving the footbridge. they were still in it when the bus was going up Calva Brow! surely the driver should have had them out of there before leaving! i really wish i got a picture of that now! it would have been straight to Stagecoach if i had! endangering the safety of the 2 young boys standing in the luggage pen, and the safety of the other passengers! one little bit of heavy braking, and they would have fell out, causing injury to the other passengers.


oh, 20765 was on annexe, with an interesting display!

Lillyhall fleet changes

20768 and 20779 have been withdrawn and replaced by 20901 and 20903 from Merseyside

Also 42534 and 42566 are now withdrawn, and 42562 and 40648 were towed away to Barnsley this morning.

20903 left morecambe yesterday dinner to go up to lillyhall after only been here for a couple of months,17023 is the next trident to be converted to L.E.D Blind and 47156 is being prepped for repaint.

16665 out and about with new seat trim, no LED as yet.

Also, the departures board at Lancaster bus station developed an interesting fault tonight.

It was displaying the correct time - 16xx, but was showing departures from 18xx onwards! It definitely wasn't just a case of the internal time being 2hrs ahead as it was showing departures from 1810 at 1630!

Merseyside have 10 R-XVM's listed as Disposal (including 20901 and 20903).
Manchester have 22 R-XVM's listed on Disposal. then they have a few on reserve, with 10 MANs on reserve too!

We'll have to wait and see what happens, hopefully the LED's will be taken from 768/779 and put into 435/436, I hate them bright-tech's!

they better had do! unless they decide to replace them 2 as well! hahaha. they need to get them old Carlisle adverts off the sides of them!!!
still seems odd that they repainted 777 with all K reg's going soon!!!

AH, OK. I only noticed it when I came down to LBS at about 1610

556 was rather late, 1645 when it left. Bloody roadworks in Carnforth (stilL).
18360 performed very poorly as well.

They will probably put the LED blind in 16665 when it goes in gargage for service, they are doing 17023 at the mo'.

Lillyhall fleet changes

20768 and 20779 have been withdrawn and replaced by 20901 and 20903 from Merseyside

20768 had developed a major engine fault, and 20779 required a replacement gearbox, I also believe that the front from one of these is to be used to repair an accident damaged vehicle at Carlisle,

I do hope 16665 gets an LED and as you say Jonesy sure it will when its next in the garage. Has the Morecambe and Heysham Livery gone out the window?

Had a very very shiny 22822 on the 3 this morning. Interior polls have been done as well so smelt very painty lol. Shame they didn't have time to do the seats as thats the only thing that missing now.

Seeing as 47156 is getting painted I assume the old solos will be with us for a while yet?

17023 is VOR with a dodgy wheel,47156 is going to carlisle for repaint and staying there even though it's getting preped here( the mind boggles),so sounds like the 4 ex-glenvale solo's are going as the remaining 2 are up for MOT(47159/60) and 16664 might be the replacement for the morecambe and heysham livery or could be a trident.

There was a total power failure on thursday night, the concorse had to be closed for safety reasons everything running off the night stand. The board people spent most of yesterday trying to get it going and have failed, being weekend there is no one ther, so they will no doubt try again on Monday

just been informed by forum member rosswatson that 53336 has been on a day trip to York, whilst private hire / day trip coach 52628 has been on X4!!!!!

Had my first ride on 16877 yesterday and wasn't overly impressed. Ride was very hard and wasn't very comfy. However I did find the layout cool lol.

Also spotted a routemaster passing through Lancaster. Think it was a wedding hire vehicle.
