What fantastic news! So this X12 between Morecambe and Lancaster will that involve the bypass perhaps? There used to be a service that ran from Heysham, down the bypass and into Lancaster but they scrapped it.

And 47728-31 are new! I'm surprised! I take it that they are solely for the X12 and if so will they be average solos or solo SR's. Surely a solo would be to small for a route that has the potential to be very busy. Bit then looking at the specs a solo can have up to 37 seats and can be 10.2 metres long! SR gets up to about 33. What's the point of having SR's at all lol. Just a fancy solo?

I also saw 40401 outside Our Ladies with the driver looking very confused as to why it had given up the ghost!

X4 is back in service, after the bridge at Bassenthwaite reopened.

20763, 34079 and 35248 on Maryport - Barepot 30. so thats stagecoach gone back on their word, by having at least 2 accessible buses on that route each day! (34079 isn't accessible! it kneels and has wheelchair space, but there isn't any loading facilities).
looked to be 20790 on 100.

33167, 47007 and 47023 on Harrington and 101.
47616 on 50.
47006 on 51.
47005 was on staff shuttles.
20759 on 31.
20436 replaced 53336 on X4.

14257 was on layover at bus station after being used as a staff shuttle, but an inspector had to send it out on Whitehaven - Workington 300 after a bus failed (presumably Volvo Oly).

times on Moorclose Circulars been pretty messed up. 51's ended up running on time slot for 50's, with 50's ending up running on 51 time slot. would have made much more sense to just swap them round, so the 50 was on 50 slot with 51 on 51 slot!!!

so, service changes are happening on sunday in Cumbria, but there is NOTHING anywhere about them! other than a sign on some buses in West Cumbria about the X58 service which is running over the next 2 weeks. no timetables for 74 and 77/77A are around, or the summer timetables for 505, 599 and 78 and some other routes!
how the h*ll are people supposed to use the services if no information is published about them?!?!?

Couple of notes from today, a Stagecoach Merseyside B10M was in Chorley today, and i can't for the life of me remember the number, anyway, it was P-Reg and on a road test with a Chorley fitter, with Stagecoach Merseyside - Sorry Not In Service on its destination..

Its not the first one I've seen in Chorley, another one still had the Debit/Credit card reader still on and proved an interesting talking point..

Also saw the first of Prestons bigger buses to get a repaint, one of the Scania single deckers was on the 16, and pretty bloody fine it looked too!!

I was too far away to attempt an ID, and by the time i got anywhere near, i couldn't really make it out, my brain seemed to plump for 28513, but, in an freak coincidence, 60secs later i drove into Preston bus station to see 28513, in Stagecoach livery, loading up for the 9.

This new style livery is nice looking, not cluttered with any other green stuff or branding etc..

Also whilst I'm thinking .. Thursday saw various darts in unusual action, 34617/8 and a 53 reg darts (334xx?) were seen on routes such as 150 Brig, 113 Wigan and 68 Blackpool..

And i meant to get a pic of the notices on Preston Bus Station telling passengers which services are now 'Exact Fare Only' again, from memory i think it was 8-16-19-22 but my memory for numbers seems to be waining a little in my later years..

Oooh, and Minis are being used for the 22's (Stockport)now?!

One off! its 28514 in the new livery.
Frenchwood also appear to have gained an extra Trident, presumed to be from Kendal as its one of the 18*** batch from Manchester and the Stagecoach fleetname has been plonked with the roundal on the white area akin to what they've done with 17012-6 etc. However, it carries Stagecoach in Lancashire legals and fleetname, so looks to be a perminent transfer. Will attempt to ID it over the next few days.

Interesting that they have taken one of KL's Trident permanently! Don't Barrow have one or two spare 2004 Tridents they could have sent? Would have fitted in a lot better!!!

Barrow have 7 to cover the 6 needed, whereas Kendal had 10 to cover the 7/8 needed.

no different to how odd 34616 looks on its own at LL, or 34079 at LL, or 34048 at CE, or 16447 at LL

could be, but it is Stagecoach...

The timetables for summer season stuff have appeared on Stagecoach website, but there isn't a service changes page for them! typical! there is nothing to say that 77 / 77A has been introduced, but the timetable is now on there!
worth noting that 77/77A is advertised wheelchair accessible (wonder how long it'll actually be fully accessible! with only having 2 slimline solo's, and the service needing 2, with nothing to cover for when one is off service). route 86 timetable is joined onto 77/77A timetable.
there is also a new 555 timetable up on there, which has the half hourly runs between Keswick and Kendal timetabled for the summer holidays period.
X58 timetable is also on, of which runs over schools Easter holiday, the 1st week in June, and the summer holiday period.

Cumbria & Lakes Rider magazine is available here. it is split into sections, presumably to keep file sizes down for quicker download times.

It should be 18374, that is what was planned. Let's see if, for once, the plans are correct!!

33167, 47023 and 47617 on Harrington and 101.
47061 on 50.
47024 on 51.
16651 and 16653 on Whitehaven - Workington 300.
20134 on 31.
20759 on X4.
42565, 33169, 34079, 20757, 20779 and others used as staff shuttles.
33169 spent a brief period of time on 30, whilst a knackered sounding 22596 sat on the annexe.
20735, 20753, 35247 and 35249 on Maryport - Barepot 30.
20761 on LL's run of Carlisle - Barepot 300.
20904 on one of CE's runs.
20919 on 100.

Try again... its 28512 wearing the "new" PB livery. Although no doubt more are to follow.
It is 18374 that Frenchwood has, looking a little shabby around the edges so could be returning to Cumbria very soon for a repaint possibly.

Evening chaps, I'm back after 3 days in the wilds on Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

My trip did however reveal that 40006 is a spares donor at Barrow, and that said depot has at least 3 Solos VOR currently.

47721 and 47722 both out on 77 and 77A today. not favourite buses of the drivers though! one of them got stuck in Buttermere for 20 mins with a fault and whoever the driver phoned up had no idea what was going on with it. the other took 3 attempts to start up at Keswick at one point!!!

16393 on Seatoller 78. i was unfortunate enough to go on that bloody shed! felt loads of bumps in the road, gear changes not the best. as for the interior, well, the stopping sign on upper deck is from an NC, as is the mirror thingy, and it seems the upper deck seats are also from an old NC! they have wood effect trim on the back of them! (guessing they've robbed a few parts from 13296!!!) SC have spent all that cash refurbing them up and converting them, then they go and retrim ancient seats for upper deck! looks rather odd and sh*t if i'm honest!

20979 on 554.
53337 and 53339 on X5.
Various Tridents on 555, with new megarider type adverts! same style as Merseyside's! individual lettering on window! they were showing "North West Megarider Gold £24", even though its called a North West Goldrider

here is a pic of upper deck rear to front on 16393! there will be more pics to come from my trip out when i manage to get them all up on my Flickr! including a pic of the new megarider style adverts on the Peter Rabbit Trident!

here is the picture of the new megarider advert, as seen on 18354!
