isn't a lot of use for it at Lillyhall though after the flood recovery stuff goes.
if rumours are true, then only K reg's will be 757, 759, 761, 768 and 779 after flood recovery.
20473 is going for disposal after finishing at Lillyhall in summer as well! wouldn't surprise me if 20790 did as well.

I really don't get why they are shedding P reg's when there are loads of K reg's around and we still have M reg's...

after the flood recovery stuff, the only K reg's should be either tacho'd for long distance, or Kendal's SchoolRunners.
would be nice if more R-XVM's came from Manchester, seeing as the only B10M's in Manchester are now reserve / disposal, or driver trainers!!! the final 7 (i think) left service last month!

Is 20918 staying at LL?? If the rumour that only 5 k regs are staying is true, there would be some of the P & R regs to make up the shortfall

i've heard 20918 and 20994 are staying to replace 20765 and 20777. we'll see how true that turns out though!
20435 and 20436 were brought in to replace 20763 and 20764, which ended up staying cos of the floods.
20473 (R473 MCW) is already marked for disposal once finished with in summer.

Once again a Solo (47160) brokedown in Lancaster Centre this afternoon, causing yet more traffic mayhem!!!
This time it was at the junction of St. Leonardsgate and Stonewell, the traffic had to go the wrong side of the traffic island to get pass.

It did not take Stagecoach three and half hours to removed it, like it did on Tuesday with 47002.

its LED has been put into NC bodied 16634, with 16634's old bright tech shoved in to 20130, ready for it to leave Stagecoach after its finished at Lillyhall in Summer

Have to correct ya there, 20130's LED blind was transfered into 16640 a few weeks ago, 16634 will be having a new LED blind installed on return to Chorley, next B10M to repaint will be 20897 from Chorley soon as its had some panels done

Dallamlad - the reason Kendal is the last stronghold of M reg B10Ms is because they're all tacho'd.

I believe 20790 at least, and probably the 2047x batch as well, has quite a lot of miles on the clock. It's basically the same as the J reg Leyland Olympians going before the older examples.

Personally I'm surprised that 20130 will be disposed of soon - I've always found the P---XCN batch second only to the newer R---XVMs. If getting rid of 2047x is such a big deal, then surely 20130 could end up at Barrow (to replace 20477) or Kendal (to replace 20474)....

I have just had a message from a pal of mine to say that 14543 [A33MRN] has been secured for preservation by him as part of the newly formed Preston Bus Preservation Group. Lets see how long it is before it leaves White Lund.

quick message to say 22607 has crashed into the bus shelter down at Barkers Footbridge! smashed a side window and scraped panels!
got a few pics which will be uploaded to Flickr at some point tomorrow!

i'm guessing we'll be seeing B10M's on 30 / 31 for next few weeks! unless they take a long Dart off Maryport - Barepot 30 and shove a Solo / Marshall on that! hopefully they don't shove a smaller bus on them 30's, after there was rather a few standee's on the 38 seat Darts yesterday!

A discussion on another forum has suggested that Stagecoach intend to withdraw ALL Leyland Olympians by APRIL! I personally think this is very ambitious and wont happen, not by April anyway. But with so much going into Manchester and more scheduled to arrive the Leylands in the NW may be gone very soon indeed!

I read that and personally I feel it's a misunderstanding.

Here in NW we have ~60 Leylands includung PB (so about 40 without), SC Western have ~30 (some newly arrived) and goodness knows how many Tridents.

All in all, there'll be about 300+ vehicles to remove - which is not going to happen.
I've heard elsewhere that a similar thing was tried with B6s in 2006/7 - the number actually increased after Yorkshire Traction was purchased!

Indeed that's what I thought as well. Leylands in this region are certainly on the way out but its a slow process as we all know and it depends on replacements becoming available for example Volvo Olys from Manc. Apparently Manchester are repainting Tridents into Magic bus livery very quickly indeed! So hopefully some Vol Olys will be coming our way soon
