theres an article in the Times & Star about the current bus operations in Workington. since the 30 Barkers Footbridge to Maryport via Seaton started, it has been B10M operated. both Seaton and 30 to Maryport were previously operated by low floor accessible buses, but now, disabled passengers, and mothers with pushchairs, are having to make their own way up to Seaton, or use the train service to Workington North, Flimby or Maryport, which isn't always accessible (the DRS shuttle can't take wheelchair passengers).
footbridge shuttle 101 (Workington Bus Station to Barkers Footbridge) has been operated by accessible buses, but once on the other side of the river, there is nothing. anyone who has tried walking up Calva can back me up by saying it is impossible to get a wheelchair up there yourself.
Stagecoach can hardly say there is a shortage of low floor vehicles to run it, cos there has been 2 MAN Enviro 300's on school services on north of the river recently!
You would be correct....direct from repaint and that will be the same for 18143 when it finally arrives should be imminent.
