It has still to pass Les' approval yet, the thought is not enough distinction between the two shades of blue so it may change yet

The description is a little off it says the bus is low floor entry and wheelchair acccessible....certainly not the B6/Dash we all know :roll:

The AD says it has a ZF gearbox but no mention of an engine!
The B6 was designed by F.Flintstone/B.Rubble... All passengers on board stick their feet through the floor, and walk it along!

and on the topic of that B6 on ebay, i can honestly say i'd rather have them back than the mini Darts we are accustomed to these days at Lillyhall, mainly on Harrington routes, and the temporary Workington to Barkers Footbridge 101. can't wait to see the back of them!

As for B6s, i was really always a fan... they are cramped, but overall they were fairly reliable, more so than any of the older-gen Darts!!!

Workington to Carlisle return minimum of 3 times a week on a Class 153 / 156, live in Workington (thats always a bad sign), spend whatever free time i can around the Bus Station (sound of the old Darts drives you insane, and theres also the drivers who are complete nutters! one of which was recently made famous on Richie B's Flickr driving the Footbridge Shuttle 101), all my mates are nutters, and i was stupid enough to take one of the most boring degree courses at uni
oh, i also went to W.C.C. Sixth Form (local people should know what i mean), so is there any hope for me? i think not!K777DAO

is there any wonder i drink cider at any given opportunity? haha. its needed with the train journeys i take and the darts i end up listening to when they go past or are sat idle next to me for 10 minutes!

Well one picture shows high backed seats and the other picture it has normal seats, one picture of the dash shows a coin tray, the other doesn't, think they might have loaded pictures of 2 buses.

Well that's a surprise. Could it be that they wont be replaced what with the reduction in PVR?
The temporary bus stop at the Uni is interesting. They have cornered of half the car park area near the chaplaincy centre so buses have to squeeze past parked card etc. Works well though...

I thought it was much better than underpass so much easyer getting in and out but then again i was there at 6 this morning in a solo. wouldnt wanna go up at peak times in a big bus tho when other buses waiting time in layby

Thats the usual terminus when the underpass is closed, its always funny to see the looks on peoples faces when you swing left off the roundabout or see
passengers dutifully waiting in the blocked off underpass for a bus that wont come

not directly Stagecoach, but the Temporary Tesco Store on the north side of the river is now open. no changes have been made to the current Tesco Free Bus as yet.
AA Travel are now running a Morrisons Free Bus from Maryport, following pretty much the same route as the Tesco Free Bus.
was just looking back through previous posts, and saw someone asked for a list of the temporary vehicles at Lillyhall. here is the pretty much final list (for now):
14249, 16647, 16874, 20473, 20735, 20737, 20752, 20753, 20754, 20763, 20764, 20776, 20790, 20918, 20994, 40028, 42025, 42534, 42577, 52628 and 52629.
some of the temporary school services will be removed after christmas holidays, due to Cumbria County Council not paying for them anymore, so that should see a slight reduction in the number of temporary vehicles. the current school services from the schools to Barkers Footbridge will remain. school services from Barkers Footbridge to other places will be strictly Cumbria County Council pass only (for students who go to school of which is at least 3 miles from where they live), which is where we should see the reduction, unless Stagecoach run them commercially, with students paying, but we'll see.

You can't even get down into the underpass now, they have closed off the stairs!
I always thought the B10B's would be around for a lot longer and that some of the B10's would go first especially as they did up 21003/4. I actually prefer the ride on a B10B to a B10.
Just had a very shiny 22818 on the 2 looks very smart. Now all it needs is new seat covers and CCTV!

It's been a funny day, or maybe that's just me! Anyways, 20765 on the X5 today... on the same slot that 20436 was on yesterday. Don't know how true this is, somebody mentioned to me that a Profile got a bit bashed on the Thornthwaite road yesterday morning, went off road due to icy conditions. However, I could be wrong! And in other news, 16652 was on the 554 today :roll: Say no more!

Indeed it did.
guessing you were around then, in which case, i was walking past Wetherspoons etc when it went past me, with my mother, sister and brother. i was heading towards the train station end of town.

On other news... I May finally get a ride on a Marshall Capital Dart this afternoon to see how awful & springy they really are... (Better pack the sickybags then!)... We're heading into Workington, and there is no way in hell i am waiting in traffic in the car again! The plan is to take the Calve Brow 30 to the bridge, then the 101 shuttle up to town... let's see!!!
