52626 and 52627 have went to Carlisle with the extra B10M's coming here. the other 2 Joncks should be making their way soon apparently! (i'll keep hoping!)
33167 has been sounding extremely ill recently. its been extremely loud and rough, and hasn't sounded like the other 2 at all!

won't stop Stagecoach! haha. 16669 and 16670 were operating out of Chorley with their Preston branding for the 68.
14235 was sent up to Carlisle to run the free bus, but it seems to spend more time on the 300 than the Volvo Olys do (not suprised really)

Traffic was quite bad in town this evening.

I know, it took me 20-mins to get over Grayhound Bridge with the 14.02 8C to St Chads, i departed from St Chads at 14.31 should of been 14.13! By half past four, i was running over half an hour late, so was the driver on the 8A's.

--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

I was on the 1644 2A of Heysham and was running together with 3 buses that should have been infront of me and i was on time, First one into bus station too i was like new driver and i can keep the service on time!!!!

I saw 4 Tridents running together enroute to the University, didn't realize that you were on one of them.

--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

Jonesy3001, was that you that i saw attending to 22804 about half past six on the Bus Station?, only i thought i knew the fitter from somewhere, but don't know where.

This is what the short article says. More uncertainty in Preston for a good while longer then.

Stagecoach is appealing against the Competition Commission’s “perverse”ruling that it should sell its Preston Bus operation, purchased in January. A Stagecoach spokesman says: "We made clear at the time that we fundamentally disagree with the Competition Commission's decision. It contradicts both competition law and common sense. Bus passengers, employees and local authorities want a stable, comprehensive network of services and tickets - the very things which Stagecoach has sought to provide.

"We have taken time to consider the Commission's decision in detail and can confirm we have lodged an appeal with the Competition Appeal Tribunal. Our appeal is based on our firm belief that the Commission has misdirected itself and used the wrong benchmark as the basis for its decision. We look forward to presenting our case in detail to the Tribunal in due course."

The Competition Commission last month ruled that Stagecoach should sell Preston Bus. The Commission’s chairman, Peter Davis, said that the takeover “resulted in a substantial reduction in competition that would, in our view, have an adverse impact on passengers in Preston, leading to a worsening in fares and other factors such as service levels”.
Stagecoach at the time described the decision as “perverse and irrational”.

No surprise about the appeal, maybe just a little surprised it appeared before Christmas..

as for Paul McGill, i dunno, kids today... all keen as mustard, aside from the fact that three other buses were in front of him, picking up all the passengers etc, and making him on time, the fact he was on time means he must be doing the job wrong :-P, your supposed to pad it out, miss your meal break and then get your next trip covered so you can have a better meal break and an easier back half....

(Disclaimer: That was entirely tongue in cheek and i have never deliberately sought to run late for my own personal benefit!)

Haha like the disclaimer there Dave lol.

Actually looking forward to seeing what happens coming up to Christmas and after the new year what with all these service changes...

I'm also praying that 16664/5 get sent to CE for paint, that way they may stay here lol. In a weird way I'm looking forward to seeing that NC about town.

Is 14201 still at ME? Is it been sold?

Also the RL's from Manc Magic Bus should surely be on the move soon so hopefully a few will end up in this region :)

When I said is 14201 still at ME I didn't mean in service lol I meant in storage as it was there with 14235 before it moved up last week.

16651 and 20761 on short 300.
quite a few drivers have still been setting displays to "Workington 30" or "Workington 31" instead of "Workington Rail Station 30" or "Workington Rail Station 31".
noticed the side displays on 30 going to W/ton rail station show "30 Workington" then "30 Rail Station", but on 31, its "31 Workington" then "Rail Station".

20759, 20768, 47006, 47007 and 47059 used as Staff Shuttle's.
the Fiesta Van allocated to Chorley has also been used as a Staff shuttle.
Info bus was flying around earlier on.

its the same with buses for Maryport on the north side of the river. its simply just "Maryport 30".
i'd have thought they'd have kept scrolling on side displays though. 30 static, with "Workington Rail Station" on scroll, instead of having "Workington" and "Rail Station" separately on a changing display.

it went for scrap after its gearbox seized up. i'd guess most of the damage was done at the scrap yard.

Stripped of just about everything by SCNW. Removed on suspended tow by Wigleys, and I'd guess moved around the yard with a forklift/grab, hence the damage.

not Stagecoach, but this is really doing my head in and wondering if anyone on here could help.
i've been browsing through coach sales websites, and came across an Esker Touring, with registration OUI 9508. i recognise the registration, and can remember seeing it on an Esker Touring, but i can't recall where i saw it, or with which operator. any ideas?
here is the listing.
