14235, 16652 and 16734 on 300.
34048 replaced 20907 on 75. 20979 also on 75.
20924 on 66 with lots of randomly placed and missing dots on the Hanover display.
42670 on 69.
42531 on 95.
16338 on Brampton 685.
52405 and 52409 on Newcastle 685.
20944 on 38.
20908 used as staff shuttle. later turned up at bus station with boards in windscreen for school work.

there was a B10M on the 79, but didn't see which one it was!

14265 was on 554, but left just over 10 minutes late after a fitter was called to the bus station to fix its non-operational windscreen wiper. the fitter said that 14265 does it a lot.

20966, 16447, 14247, 34699, 24123, 20907, 42533 and a branded Citi Dart in workshop areas.
there was a long wheelbase Volvo Oly with Alexander RL body in the big shed, looking extremely shiny. i didn't see which one it was.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
42025 replaced 47061 on the 1615 50.
47024 on 51.
47007 and 47617 on Harrington.
33169 on 101. there was a few problems getting it to show 101!
16651 and 16653 on Whitehaven - Workington 300.
Displays are programmed with Workington Train Station on displays, but most of the drivers are still just putting it as Workington 30 or Workington 31.
20757 on Tesco Free Bus, with "Tesco free bus" programmed into the display.
20761 on Workington - Maryport, but it came in with Workington 30 on display. it should have had the new route 37 on it.
16647 was around.
20757 on X5.
52268 on a Private Hire job (most likely day trip, so it should really have had "Excursion" on it).

scrolling on Moorclose Circular 50 is "via Lorton Avenue, Moorclose Shops, Wastwater Avenue and Morrisons". i'm assuming the scrolling for Moorclose Circular 51 is the same but in reverse order.

16877 still hasn't appeared lol, I have heard rumours that all the NC bodies stuff in the NW is to be replaced by ex-Manchester RLs, but I dunno really.

I tihnk Chorley were to get long Olympians, effectively swapped with the Tridents.

Unless GMPTE have a change of heart (and they will have to, or give way on the age restriction), the Tridents can't be used of school contracts, hence why Chorley are losing them.

Oww shall have to correct you there, our Tridents at chorley are specked and are allowed to be used on GMPTE school contract work as are the new scania's and dart's.

The reason they were transfered out to Barrow/Preston has nothing to do with anything like that and done on operational requirements.

Does everyone know that the Optare Rapta has been abandoned by Optare?

Seeing as a fair few NC Olys are coming into the Northwest and some getting repainted I imagine they will be sticking around...

Oh yes, they're not being scrapped. IIRC the rumour said they were going to SC East Midlands to replace their F regs....
The ex-Manc ones we're supposedly getting are P---GND.

On a related note, 13995/6 have been put into reserve at Manchester, presumably pending movement to somewhere where they are more standard.

This from an email:

In the yard at Blackburn today is the Rapta which was exhibited at the Euro Bus Expo in 2008, as Optare have announced this project has been abandoned (like the Solo+) and I understand that the vehicle is going to be dismantled over the next few days.

In my opinion it was never an attractive vehicle but it certainly attracted attention.

As can be seen in the photographs there are no interior fittings but at least you can now see inside.

Photographs at: http://alistair268. fotopic.net/ c1790455. html

Last chance to see it?

Black...what a horrible colour!
Why not just cover it all in SC pattern though?
Mind, this is Stagecoach we are talking about...

Oh right....you can blame Dave The Bus for that duff info!

OI!, leave me alone, I'm supposed to be having a week away from all this .. :p

No, seriously though, i apologise for that, it was something of a crossed wires thing, i was discussing it on another forum at the time as well and it falsely confirmed something, that i learnt afterwards, that wasn't true, i was supposed to be correcting myself on here but may have forgotten..

ALX400, hello, i have my suspicions on who you are, and its about bloody time you posted on here instead of just watching me!! and never mind 20130 going, let's get rid of that god awful 20750 first!

Whilst I'm thinking, news on another forum about 13995, its apparently been loaned to Ashton, theres still some confusion as to which bumped up vehicle it is there to cover for, but its not likely to be joined by 13996 just yet..

13995 has been loaned to AZ as one of the ex Mayne's Scania's was involved in
some kind of accident earlier today. Not sure which Scania it was but solves the
mystery.

Apparently though (unconfirmed rumours mind) 13996 is also parked up with a "not for use" sign, so maybe it will move eventually.....would make sense.

I imagine that 20750 and 20130 will both go when Chorley clear out their B10Ms....what's replacing them??

That is very interesting, could it be a stopping point on its way somewhere else? I doubt it will be up for work...so maybe it is staying up there...

nothing has been said for certain on where the Volvo Olys from Preston are going to. they will be replacing "low capacity" Leyland's, of which Barrow has 3 of, those 3 being 14210, 14266 and 14267. 14210 was supposed to be replaced by 16340, but 16340 went back onto reserve for some reason.
the full J-HFR batch in North West is expected to go, so thats 1 at Kendal, 2 at Morecambe and 5 at Carlisle. 14199 at Kendal is apparently being replaced by 16647 (when its finished at Lillyhall on flood special routes), 14204 and 14208 being replaced by 16874 and 16648 apparently, then 5 N reg's from Preston replacing 14202, 14205, 14206, 14207 and 14209 at Carlisle. 16714 has already appeared at Lillyhall to replace 14234, so it wouldn't suprise me if another N reg came from Preston to replace 14233.

16325/6 were intended for Barrow to replace 14210 and 14266.
Also, I think it's fair to say that the ex-Magic RLs (if we get any) will replace F regs as a priority.

I really have no idea why 16340 is in reserve - capacity issues at Barrow maybe?

Ive seen some of the former Chorley 125 Tridents on the 68s recently mostly carrying new 'coastliner' branding including megarear advertising for the service on a couple of the buses - Ive been on far too earlies this week to note the number so treated Im afraid.

22822 looking very shiny on a Heysham bound 4 this afternoon.
14195 coming out of Garstang Lancaster bound
47249 on a 49 - sounds like its got an air leak too

Great so a fair few Volvo Olys heading up here! I wonder how long 14195/96 will last...

The the engine scream on 18362 has got a little worse. It makes a very loud screeching noise when accelerating as mentioned previously on here.
