All the schools are back today so 14208 was out again running an Our Ladies school service (537?). It later ran dead to the bus station where it had to circle round twice before a space became free for it to pull in. The conductor was out on the apron directing vehicles here and there with some moving out back to the depot.

Had 21005 on the 3 which was nice. Also spotted a solo on the Heysham bypass with 4 to the University on the blinds.

Also the normal Olys were on schools.

In other news 3 Versa's (25257 to 25260) have been moved from Exeter elsewhere as they can't handle the route (something to do with the design of the vehicle). They are apparently been replaced by Darts...all sounds very familiar to me lol.

short wheelbase and long overhang makes the Versa extremely hill un-friendly! especially when there is a corner on the hill!

47248 on 1550 Warton 55....I sincerely hope a B10M failed rather than poor planning.

Solos for LL makes sense but not sure about Darts for ME. If we did get some what would they replace?

Solo on the X1 this afternoon. It would seem the solos have been doing some odd runs today if they have been on the 4, X1 and the 55 in the afternoon.

Yeah 21005 looks better with its "new" blind :)

Major road works are due to start in Lound Rd (A65), Kendal on 14 September and are due to last least 4-weeks. This will effect the following services 41, 41A, 42, 42A, 550, 553, 564, 567, & X35 all of which will be diverted via Milnthorpe Rd (A6).

Due to increased traffic along Milnthorpe Rd, i am also expecting delays to the 552, 555, & 755 services.

Pickles, Carlisle are losing K--- DAO PSs though. The R regs were to repalce the more knackered examples, and the rest of the Ks would go when the Enviros arrive.

So Barrow won't be getting any PS, other than a Paladin to supposedly replace 20306 (?) which is useless by virtue of its Miseryside history.

The Ex Manc B10s have seen off the four K DAOs at Carlisle mate, The mans will displace L,M,P & R reg examples.

Highly unlikely that any R reg examples will be on the move.
Most of the vehicles from Carlisle will go for disposal - including P219 HBD as this is an oddity which came after the floods.

to clear it up, Carlisle are supposed to be losing 20107, 20219 (P219 HBD), 20306, 20435, 20436, 20474 (R474 MCW, to be transferred elsewhere), 20894 (P reg Paladin, to be transferred elsewhere) and 20994 (R Reg Paladin, to be transferred elsewhere). 20746 is still in service though at the minute, although it is on the disposals list.
this will leave Carlisle with only R---XVM B10M's, all with Alexander PS bodies.

as with the 07 reg solo's for LL, it'll be 47474 and 47483 which have just came back from Aberdare after being on loan from North West.

20966 on Cockermouth - Carlisle 600 tonight.
14257 was on Whitehaven - Cockermouth 600. i was on it, and i have to say that despite the interior condition (it has done school work for many years), the ride was excellent! much better in my opinion than a lot of the newer stuff!!!

20777 was on 31 again this morning, but was later on Staff Shuttle.
20134 and 34616 were both on 31, along with the usual E300's.
35246 and 35249 on 31A.
20764 on 30A.
16733 on 30!
35247 on 2.
47616 on 3.
47023 on 4.
47059 and 47617 on 1.
47024 on 50.
47060 on 51.
33167, 34079 and 47062 on Harrington & Seaton.
20779 on X5.
14257 was on school work earlier with a board in windscreen for 22 Egremont. the bright tech was in full working operation.
16651 was on school work.
16734 on 300.

Wrong!!! P219HBD only came a year or so ago and replaced K784DAO which was written off. It came with the batch of n Regs that went to Merseyside as Magic Buses. I cant see R reg B10s going can you????

On the 14th September roadworks are beginning in Ulverston where the large roundabout is - probably this will cause delays to the X35.

With these roadworks in Ulverston, and the roadworks in Kendal, effecting the X35's. There's no hope of them running to time. Don't see any X35's today as they were running late with-out roadworks.

Inkerman Terrace in Whitehaven is due to be closed from the 7th Sep for Roadworks. Could anyone tell me which route the 30/30a/31/31a to Thornhill/Egremont/Frizington will take out of town? Just wondering as there is no info on the Stagecoach website that i've found, and i need to travel into town a few times over the coming weeks.

Have any of Carlisle' Enviro 300's gone into service yet then?

they enter full time service on Monday, when the timetable for 104 changes. as i understand it, the 104 will still be driven by drivers from both Carlisle and Penrith.
