Yeah was thinking the same thing about 17012. Winter will give them a chance to dry out and have some TLC.

I always liked 20750 and yeah its had a retrim looking very worn now though lol.

Are 20790 and 20451 for scrap or are they going somewhere else?

Well they're on reserve ATM, but as the ex-Miseryside ones are being sold, I imagine 20790 will be. I'd hope that 20451, though slightly older, has a place in the NW for a while yet (eg. at Kendal)

20451 would be great for KL schools as it has seat belts (not that they are used but meh) and high backed seats which is good for long hall routes around Cumbria etc.

If the B10m mentioned by Mike Redding is from the P HBD batch, I wonder if it is the one which came to Carlisle last year that has transfered to Lillyhall.

He didn't specifically say it was 20219, just that it looked like it.

The main point was that the display was u/s.

Sorry, i didn't see the number, The route runs past my house so i was too far away to see it from where i was in the kitchen.

at this point, it may be worth pointing out that 20752 has a dead display, so it could have been that on 30A.

Oh dear, I've just had a look on the Competition Comission website. It's concluded that the takeover of Eastbourne Buses by Stagecoach has reduced competition and is currently looking at possible solutions...more on this in the morning when I rad the report properly.

Stagecoach have aquired six Hybrid Solos from Merseytravel (were operated by Arriva). these have been stored for some time and are 05 and 54 reg. They are reported to be going to Gilmoss to be re-engined and put into use.Stagecoach are bidding for the C routes in Merseyside which Arriva have lost recently. Wales might be a destination, have to wait and see!!. A little off topic but thought it may be of interest

Yes, those hybrid Solos were/are terrible. They are to be fitted with MAN engines and painted in Stagecoach Corportate liver. Who knows where they might go?

20451 is in the reserve fleet but is still on the road, at the mo it`s at ingleton outstation. 20451 and 20463 are the only coach seated b10ms left, thats if you include the 4 b10bs(dual-purpose) and they use them for private hires as they have digi-tachographs fitted apart from 21005/7.

Does anyone know if the two Marshalls from Kendal are to see service at LL??? I think they are still short of a couple of vehicles!!. Also has anyone got an answer as to what will leave Gilmoss when the Mans arrive????

Regarding the competition commision findings in Eastbourne, I see one suggestion was to possibly force Stagecoach to allow other operators access to the Eastbourne Buses depot. So does this mean that if they force Stagecoach to do so, then the Co-operative, who own Glenrothes Kingdom Centre, here in Fife, will be forced to open up 10% or so of their own Supermarket space to little grocers shops hit hard in Glenrothes by the co-op?

33167 has went onto the evening Cockermouth X5. the driver seemed to struggle getting it to move. he was flooring it (could tell by how loud it was) but it was struggling to actually move very far!
42534 has appeared in the bus station, either on SL Ltd or its going to replace 47059 on evening services.
20761 is on 301.

52635 was on a day trip to Blackpool today, and it sounded very bad when it returned! i thought there was some horses trotting quite loudly at speed, but it turned out to be 52635!!!

42534 hated that bus you can guarantee everytime we pulled it off the wash the glass behind the drivers seat would smash then they replaced it with perspex

As a Transport Manager, i would very strongly object to giving another operator, especially a competitor free access to my depot. :-x

It does say that per se what it does say is that Sc may be told to sell the deopt to a holdings company and lease it back, so that competitors have jsut as much chance of moving in, depending on what the holdings company want.

SC should be aloud to purchase both companies but have restrictions put on them and be under supervision by an independent body to insure SC provide a fair and reasonable service to local people meaning they can't raise prices and cut services as they like in order to maximize profit etc.

I had to re-read this a couple of times before it clicked, but although you are better placed than me to say, i think i can safely add that you would be allowed to run them inbetween as well as long as you ran the other ones within the competition rules..

Thing is though, how does it work on the 109 then, when Fishwicks and Stagecoach run a joint service at half hour intervals (1 bus per hour each)

Before the 1985 Transport Act, became law on 26 October 1986. All bus services were subsidized. There were a number of jointly operated services such as 685 Carlisle - Newcastle which was operated by Ribble (now Stagecoach) and United (now Arriva) both were part of the NBC (National Bus Company) this was allowed to continue.

This may also be the case with the 109 service at Preston.

We might have Dave the Bus on this site, but Stagecoach in Hartlepool MAN/Enviro 200 39662 is named Bumble the Bus.

i was told Arriva didnt accept the saver tickets haha. oh well.

47024 operated the Workington Town Services.
47062 was on Whitehaven - Maryport 30.
20759 and 20765 on 301.
47617 was on annexe, with 47059 on layover in bus station.
47616 then appeared on the annexe, and left on staff shuttle.
47617 later operated SL Ltd Contract.
52635 has been out on a Bank Holiday Day Trip, and was sounding much better than on saturday!!!

Anyone know roughly when the R-Reg B10M's are due to join the LL fleet on active duty? i know they need retrimming... but it seems to be taking ages!!
