This is the second time that Stagecoach have used a Solo on the 555 to my knowledge.
When KLCH use too do the 21.30 556 Kendal - Lancaster, and 23.10 return they regular used a Solo (Which are now 47247-47249).

Good to see LL is now "officially" down to one breadvan!
on paper its down to one, but in reality, theres 2 haha.
they put all 709D's onto reserve apart from 40028, but not enough replacements have been sent.
i'm a bit weary about 33164 and 33165 being put onto Lillyhall Reserve though...WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE! the ones here are bad enough on the routes they're on!

20661 was put onto Lillyhall Reserve, but they're saying its going straight onto disposal from Lillyhall lol.
i'm still interested about 2 of KL's Marshalls going onto Lillyhall reserve lol. could it be something related to the previously mentioned cut down in Kendal Town Services?

33168 and 34079 on Harrington & Seaton. didnt see the 3rd.
16447 is one of the 4 on 300.

The Morecambe FC bus is been unveiled on the 19th of September.
Yeah good to see so much is moving into disposal on the fleetlist. It will be interesting to see what happens in regard to Merseyside movements in the upcoming months.
Also SC have been given till September to make a bid for either part of or all of National Express. They seem to be mainly interested in the coach network.

18363 went up to carlisle yesterday for repaint could be back in two weeks depending how quick they repaint it without putting the stagecoach logo`s on

Just got back home, from Bowness, where i have been all day, due to my car having it's annual service & MOT.
Open-toppers noted in service today at Bowness have been 16294, 17012, 17013, & 17015.

Thats what i thought :roll:, i wont know what it will look like when it comes back as i will be on holiday. They didnt repaint 18362 before they put the eric morecambe vinyl on it they just took the advert borders/logos off and washed it.

Could it simply be to make application easier? Does it stick better to new paint etc?

Possible, most of the 55 plate tridents have not been repainted since they new to princess road depot, hyde road repainted theres and before they transferred to kendal apart from 18375/18380 which went to morecambe.
There's an article in this weeks Westmorland Gazette that residents of Bolton-le-Sands are unhappy that the 55A now goes along the A6 and not Main Street.
I for one think that this is a good move by Stagecoach - having walked along main street when it was shut, I can't see how a bus could possibly manage along it with parked cars!

Hi they having to repaint 18363 becouse it is not getting a all over rape it just getting bits. It will look like The Bay buses did http://jel-stagecoach.fotopic.net/p15562863.html bit like that but dont think over the windows.

My god £16,000 is a lot for something like that. I thought with a price tag like that it would be an allover rap! Well hope it still looks smart!

There's a B10 (i think - One of these) on the 30a in Whitehaven today, with the destination boards not working and and a small sign in the windscreen

18363 is getting a vinyl wrap similar to 18362 with the front upper deck and rear windows covered up. The vinyl didnt last long on 42535 as three months after it got taken off,repainted and sent to lillyhall.

So there wasn't a point in repainting it
It was very tatty when they took it off and you could hardly see out of the windows, makes me think where it is now:???:
