you's sure they're coming from Fife?
i was told their new Enviro 300 bodied MAN 18.240's are displacing the ALX300 bodied 18.220's onto step entrance routes, with PS bodied B10Ms going for disposal / transfer to another region.

Came through Catterall at about 1650. Just beyond Calder House Lane, 14195 [which had 40 Preston on the destination] was parked half on the pavement, half on the road with a police car in attendance, but it was parked ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD i.e it was facing Preston on the side of the road it should be going to Morecambe on!!!! :? Very strange. It was still there 45 minutes later [but no police car]. Anyone any ideas?

Im told Fife have enough MANs to cascade some onto step entrance routes and also to dispose of to other parts of the empire.

On the subject of MAN's being transferred from Fife to Preston.

Themaster985 (Who use to work for Stagecoach) said in one of his postings on 22 March, that there were 6 MAN's due to be transferred in late May, from Fife to Preston.

RobortClark125 said on 11 April in his posting, that there were no plans to transfer any MAN's away from Fife.

Just seen this on the Stagecoach website.

LANCASHIRE

Warton - Temporary Road Closure of Main Sreet

From 0800 on Monday 26th May until 1900 Monday 10th August 2009, Warton Main Street will be closed due to road works.

As a result, buses from Silverdale and Warton will be unable to serve the Rail Station and a temporary bus stop will be located at the end of Borwick Lane.

Well just got back from the SC open day and was quite good actually :)

Was on the way back and got a text from Cainebj so sorry I missed u pal lol.

16663 has had the same treatment as 16660. 16660 has also had CCTV fitted as well as the rest of the stuff.

Good to see such a good mix of SC vehicles love Enviro 400's got to say lol.

17015 also made an appearance on shuttles which was nice as well as the Ribble vehicles one of which I got to/from Lancaster.

I wasn't there for long so I'm sure I missed something so look forward tom hearing from everyone else!!!

Else ware in Lancaster business as usual. 30181 still about on city routes and 16666/67 on 2/2a.

Also apparently 6 MANS are coming to Preston from Fife the rest are staying up there to displace the remaining L/M/N reg PS's.

Must have missed you then DallamLad...out of interest which L5s were you on?

Right, stuff I've got to share
1. The MANs from Fife will be V reg, the X reg examples are indeed staying in Fife to displace the last of the PSs. 6 are coming to Preston, and 7 are for SC Bluebird.

2. 18357 currently has no reverse gear (!) it was supposed to come dowm this morning, but limped down last night instead.

3. The re-vinyl of 18362 didn't last long....bits were hanging off at the front, photos will be up soon of this getting running repairs.

4. 17015 was not intended for use on shuttles; the 2 female drivers who brought it down were rather upset at the lengthening of their day. (DallamLad, you'll know them...I recognised them, not seen them in years though)

5. The A reg PB Olympian (A 33 MRN) appeared for the last time in public, presumably a home has been found.

6. 16663 hasn't yet got LED, it's still with a non-functional flip-dot.

7. The ex-Kendal Darts have notices in the Window saying "This vehicle is not to be driven, it is awaiting Disposal"

8. 17012 has become the depot christmas tree, with front bumper, dash parts, ticket machine, LED and some other bits missing. However we did see a reconditioned engine for a 17000 series vehicle so I presume this is the one that will go in eventually.

9. 11091 was also in scrappers corner, with filling evident to the nearside roof.

10. 16664 was on bus wash duties.

I was on one of the Leyland Atlanteens both ways.

I take it by disposal you mean re allocation or something because it would me madness to scrap the darts..

Yes the LED will be the next thing on 16663 I assume. Probably the one on display in front of it. What will happen to all the Hanovers from the Olys? Will they bother reusing them or will they be binned?

21005 needs a new blind as its not working but I assume this will be an LED if anything. It may be repaired like the one in 21007.

Yes the touch up work on 18362 was very poor and when I saw it it was creased and hadn't been put on correctly.

Was also great to see one of the Optare park&Ride vehicles from Preston.

Did you discover any more inside info while you were down there Mbonwick? I saw Gez about with his hat on lol.

Urm well....
Both buses doing the L5 were Atlanteans. These were laid on by RBPT, not SC.

I wonder if the LED that was on display came out of 17012, it had certainly been taken out. The interior was also surprisingly dusty [on TA12].

21005 was running round with window boards today, I imagine that it'll get LED to ensure its future.

I can't think of much other info I got. For some reason the Manchester drivers have orange HVVs.
I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but Lancaster carries a full set of Torque wrenches for just about any type of bus Stagecoach operate - Metrobus, MetroRider, Olympians, Tridents etc etc.

Kendal news - 18359 was returned to service the day after its bump in Keswick, with the bumper replaced.

what an awesome day it was!
i had the Morecambe & Wise bus both ways on the Park & Ride, but took advantage of the free shuttle services operated by 17015 haha. had a nice ride down Morecambe sea front, then back to the depot.
was nice to see Andrew (think he's been mentioned on here somewhere) down there with 22607!
most of the fire damage to 17012 is on offside, i attempted a picture whilst getting interior pictures of most other stuff in that corner, which included 47003!
there was also a gearbox there on display designed for 17xxx.
was a really awesome day. trying to get my pictures onto Flickr. will message when they're up!

Pity I couldnt make it to the open day, looks like it was a good day out! It was great to see 'proper' buses running round town even if it was just for one day!!

I think Lancaster has tools for many types because most have been allocated there at one time or another - dont remember any Metrobuses being there though. :D

The tools for the Metrobuses, were properly inherit from Heysham Travel, who did operate some Metrobuses. Before they were taken-over by Stagecoach.

They were ex Merseyside ones I think? I thought they had been sold on by the time of the Stagecoach takeover.
