Darts leaving Kendal already!!! They only just got there lol. Where do we think they will end up? Glad Kendal will be all solo I don't really like the darts, they don't look right for some reason lol.

Solo still on the 3/4. Can't believe its stayed on all day!!!

There are currently 4 Solo's at Kendal 47009, 47055, 47056, 47057, with 47058 being due anytime, as for the other two its anybody guess (maybe 47003 & 47004).

47003/4 would make sense seeing as their at Morecambe. Could Darts replace 709d's some ware?

It would make sense, to send one or two to Barrow for use on the 618 Barrow - Ambleside service.

Are those two darts in store at Morcambe similar to the one at West Cumbria which spilt oil everywhere? If they are, they might be off up there.

the ones in store are Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied ones, like the V reg at Carlisle.
the one that spilt oil everywhere on the annexe was 34079, an ALX200 bodied one.

would be good if they swapped 2 of the W reg darts for 47023 and 47024, but i doubt that will happen!

My thoughts on the Marshall Darts from Kendal are as follows;

Cainebj tells me Lillyhall have 3 709Ds to replace (excluding 40028), so the 3 swb Marshalls to Lillyhall to either directly replace the 709Ds or replace Solos which then go on the 709D routes.

Just to tell you i found out last night that kendal are getting solos to replace the darts witch the new ones are going to fife in place off MANs witch are coming to ether morecambe or preston

Sorry didn't quite catch that last bit Paul. New what? New MANS in Fife? I saw something about a new launch of MANS up there. Old MANS will end up in Preston very unlikely Morecambe.

Just a reminder, if ya not aware already, the Annual Stagecoach North West Depot Open Day and Rally takes place at Morecambe Depot on Saturday 23rd May 2009.

As well as the Stagecoach Group vehicles and visiting buses on display, enthusiast's stalls and trade suppliers displays, there will be free preserved bus services operating from Morecambe and Lancaster to the event.

There is no visitor car parking available at the Depot site but a Park & Ride is in operation from Morecambe Football Club car park.

The Park and Ride Shuttle service will run between the Depot at Whitegate, White Lund Ind Est every 15 mins via the Shrimp Roundabout bus stop, (connecting with services from Lancaster, Preston and Blackpool), then to Christie Park, (Morecambe Football Club car park) before returning to the Depot.

The Preserved Bus service will operate every 15 mins between the Whitegate Depot and Morecambe Bus and Rail Station. For those wanting to take photos the route is via the Shrimp Roundabout, Broadway and the Central Promenade to Morecambe Bus Station, returning via Lancaster Road to the Depot.

As part of the 90th anniversary of Ribble Motor Services the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust are operating the L5 Service between Lancaster Bus Stn, Stand 9, and Whitegate Depot every 30 minutes

MANs from Fife to Preston (service 16), the 20725 and 20309 back into store probably

25225 to Preston, which then leaves a Solo spare.

On that note, does anyone know the current whereabouts of the Solos expected at Kendal and Lillyhall?

I cant see the Darts going to Barrow - they'd be very non-standard there. Carlisle sounds like a much better idea.

The Solos could well be at Carlisle for painiting.

I think the MANs coming from Fife are 18.240s.

apparently there are four 54 registered scania coaches in store somewhere thought to be coming to LL for X4/X5.

had to look into this. the only coaches with Scania chassis owned by Stagecoach UK are old paramount bodied driver trainers, or Caetano Levante's for National Express, of which are 56 reg onwards.
the only 54 reg scania vehicles in the UK that i can find are Scania Omnideckers, which are at Stagecoach in Yorkshire. to get DD's round the route, they'd have to plead the council to cut tree's back, or expect a lot of tree damage!

I think the Fife MANs will be standard 18.220/Alexander ALX300 model practically identical to the ones already in service at Morecambe. Fifes new MANs are the udated version (cant remember the model number). Do we know when they are due?

all 3 Marshall darts on Harrington & Seaton.
25225 and 35249 were out on 31. didnt see much else on that cos of exams and leavers service.

16664 and 16666 have both made an appearance on the 2 today. Also spotted 16660 at the bus station having just come out of service.

30281 was on the 5 again this morning and 22809 on the 755.

I saw 16660 on the 755, unless it was one of Lillyhall's LED fitted Olympians on the move. I doubt that though, as it had the standard Volvo light clusters on the back.
