Oh dear, that won't please them at Lillyhall. Good to see it's left Morecambe though. Nothing to report from me, study leave prevents me seeing any buses except a few..

nothing out of the ordinary noted today, all quiet on the Lancaster front except the city centre was busier than normal due to the rain, so a few buses were late and bunching was occuring on the 2/2A.

I Didn't think Man did a Enviro 400 i was just asking as it was posted on ukbfn Shame the Reading Man Decker was only a one off really as it looked great.
Isnt the The B7TL is now obsolete and wasnt only 1 built on a B7TL Chassis anyway? the one that went to the NEC but is now with Go Ahead down south i think?

20780....is that not a Barrow vehicle? Or is it the one that's been swapped?

Yes it is, it's the Laurel & Hardy bus.

From what have seen recently, the 736 works into Kendal in the Morning. The bus then parks up in Kendal depot until the afternoon, when it works back to Ulverston.:|

736 Ulverston – Newby Bridge – Kendal College (college bus)
Operates from Ulverston Victoria Road, direct to Kendal, stopping at Newby Bridge only. Students
from Kendal College holding Passes valid from Ulverston have priority over any other passengers.
Although other passengers may travel on this service, local fares are not subsidised by Cumbria
County Council and are therefore higher than the equivalent X35 fare.

When i worked for Go Ahead London in 2001, we had a number of Volvo B7TL double deckers, with Plaxton President bodies (PVL's), and Alexander bodies (AVL's), these were the best buses that i have ever driven:D

The rear blind on 18327 has finely been fixed.

Also 47017 seen on the 49 this morning but the remaining B6 is still around working town services.

Spotted a solo on the 89 last night in Lancaster with an all over body advertisement incorporating Wallace and Gromit which looked cool :)

Yeah, the W&G bus is based at Preston. Good to see 47017 has finally appeared. If it is being withdrawn this week, 30277 will probably go tomorrow.

20774 and 47056 on Kendal Town services this morning

Are you sure it was a 30 or 31? I don't know of any buses based at LL with those flip up school boards fitted to them, unless they have started fitting them? Could it not have been a Carlisle vehicle?

not sure. it left the bus station from Maryport stand at around 1450, and went towards Maryport. i couldnt see the reg or number from where i was.

20777 & 20779 are being fitted with the flip up school bus signs.

its about time Lillyhall are getting some fitted!!!
the Leyland Oly's need them as well!
guessing the Leylands are sticking around for longer, seen as though i noticed the hand rails on door and at front of 14255 have been painted orange. the rest are still red AFAIK.

I don't see what difference it makes to be honest.

in the area, not a lot, but they're supposed to have school bus signs on all school jobs.
they could get away with "SCH" on rear displays, but seen as most buses on school work doesnt have working rear displays anymore, they can't do that haha.

i havnt saw the school bus logo on front displays recently. they seem to have changed "SCHOOL [GRAPHIC] SPECIAL" to "School Service".
the 32, 33A and 33D have had the school bus logo on the LED's, but i havnt seen it on bright techs lol.

it is do-able on bright techs, but i havnt seen it for ages. i think Carlisle used to have it on their Leyland oly's. got a feeling LL had it at some point as well, but not sure. it was a good few years ago like.

would be nice if more Volvo Oly's came, but with Stagecoach Preston Bus having Leylands on full time service, it would make sense for them to go there, which is what will probably happen when / if Chorley get these Enviro 400's, which could be sending some ALX400's to Lillyhall, but we'll see what happens lol. its an almost certainty that some ALX400's will go to Preston area (either PB or SC). i'd have guessed ALX400's to Frenchwood, sending Volvo Oly's to Stagecoach Preston Bus.

sunday stuff.

47616 on 30.
47024 on Workington Town Services.
47060 on layover in bus station, along with 40651.
20765 on 301.

Murray Road in the town centre is closed for resurfacing, many idiots have not seen the many signs stating the road is closed, so they've tried getting down it, couldnt, so have been either driving through the bus station, or driving over the annexe.

16660 has been given a repaint as well as new seat covers and an LED.

16328 was at Morecambe to have a new rear axle fitted.

14204 is been repainted ready for the open day next weekend. 18362 is also having some of its Eric Morecambe stickers redone.

All I've seen today is 18363/65 on the 3.

Just been looking at bus models that are out this year and creative master noerthcord are doing 17012-S812 BWC due date july

roofed or unroofed? if its the roofed one I can see me parting with £20 :)

The Wallace & Gromit Solo was on the 89 again today, first time Id seen this and I must admit I quite like it!
