Oh yes please wouldn't that be great. That way LL could have some Tridents for the 300 :) Don't think we'd end up with any just yet lol.

E400s are being delivered to Chorley for the 125/6, yes. Then Tridents to goodness knows where. Would be nice if Lancaster got some, but that's not going to happen.

Ladybird Travel stopped operating in March 2008, in the school easter holidays. they went bankrupt. they had a contract with Omega Holidays, but apparently wern't being paid for it, and then their yard & vehicles were subjected to vandalism and apparently theft, and had no money available to replace stolen items and repair vandalism. with the lack of money, they couldn't afford to pay the rent on their vehicles, resulting in some having to be removed from service. they tried selling their 2 Van Hools and Optare Sorocco with no luck a few weeks before they ceased operations.

I thought, I had not seen any of they vehicles for a while, then the other day I heard that they had stopped trading.

Oh yes your right but I don't think they will send a majority of them to one place. Yes I am in Kendal sometimes 2/3 times a week and so always look out for the workings. I had a keen out for the solos and didn't realise they were 04 plates! I'm surprised Kendal didn't get a load of 51 plates. Seems to be what happens will Kendal, get all the older cast offs from every ware else lol.

Yes it would be brilliant for Lancaster to get some but as Mbonwick said its never going to happen not when we only recently got the 2005 Tridents.

Only saw the one X35, which had an X35 branded trident on it.
Did not see the 755 today.
20705, 20710, 30342, 33173, 34213, and 47056 all made appearance on Kendal Town Services. 47055 had two fitters on, when spotted this afternoon.
14248 Exhaust fell-off this afternoon, when working a schools.
20780 Parked in Blackhall Rd about 1645, displaying 736 Ulverston.

Hopefully, I will see bit more tomorrow, as I am doing bit more driving then today.

passenger take up on the 554 isnt that great a lot of the time. even on saturdays, i've saw interurban bodied coaches run it with about a fifth of the capacity taken up.
i think original plans for the ALX400's from Chorley was for them to go to Preston to replace Volvo Olympians, but with the well known reliability problems on Lillyhall's 300, may well be that some come up here. Theres still the strong chance they'll be transferred to Stagecoach Preston Bus, to replace ageing Leyland Olympians on full time public service.

would be nice if they had some transferred here for the X4 and X5, but tree's are a problem! in some of the little villages, tree's brush along the top of the Jonckheere Modulo bodied coaches, so they'd just be asking for upper deck damage with DD's. I heard something a while ago that SC were going to ask the council to cut the tree's back to improve the services on that route, but i've never heard anything since.

Barrow is also an ideal candidate for ALX400's, which will add more LF vehicles to the fleet (seen as though the only low floors are solo's lol)

Well Chorley will keep some of them but it really is guess work as to where the rest go. It could in fact be any ware and it certainly wont be happening very soon so we'll just have to wait for intel from some sources.

By soon I meant not in the coming months and by intel I meant getting confirmation of the order for Chorley as I don't think it has been confirmed yet. Therefore in reality we know nothing lol. Although you obviously have a much better idea then anyone else as you are on the front line!!!

Lets just say things are not happening on the grandest of scales so far..

I think we need to verify what we can or cannot fit into the depot area, as the enviros are larger dimensionally than tridents its possible we couldnt fit a fleet of them in.

I can now be 90% certain that Lancaster's Olys aren't going anywhere in a hurry. The proof? I saw 16660 this morning, that's had a retrim, new flooring, LED fitted and side/rear displays plated over (Bit like the Lillyhall ones, only without the Wrightbus light clusters). Next up I guess will be 16667 which was seen without side or rear displays.

Few additions to list.

Also, 30281 is still around, presumably as 47017 isn't ready yet. I've seen 016 complete with CCTV cameras.

MAN don't do a DD chassis. The E400 can only be built on: Trident 2, Volvo B7TL/B9TL, Scania N230UD chassis.

So, to be honest, that rumour is a load of bollocks.

Well well a Lancaster Volvo Oly with and LED that is interesting seeing as there really wasn't much wrong with the blinds it had and not all the Trident 2's have been done yet. Funnily enough I spotted a Volvo OLy heading in my direction this morning and thought to myself "good lord one of Lancaster's Volvo Olys has an LED!" It turned out however to be 16328 which is registered at Preston as far as I know. Any body know why it may be up here?

According to the latest allocation card, it is still allocated to Preston Frenchwood Depot, and is fitted with a Digital Tachograph. So it may of been on a Private Hire to the area.

I think MAN are developing a double deck chassis although its aimed at being a coach rather than a stage bus and isnt ready for sale yet. Has the Optare double decker made it into production yet?

Buses magazine has a photo of 17013 in Windermere, the green livery really looks good on them, its nice to see the colour being used again.
