the solo's are needed like. i've been told one of them will go on the 57, which is commercially operated until 1510, when county council support it financially.
one thing i noticed before when looking like an idiot in town, 52635 has a ticket machine, but its only used on staff shuttles and private hires these days. would have been nice if it went on X4 / X5 when not out on hire, but i suppose theres nothing can be done about that unless head office make the decision lol.

16334 on X35 this morning, along with the X35 branded Tridents.
16659 on the 1050 755 Morecambe.
20456 was 564's this morning, but changed to 20705 abt 1045.
20778 parked in Blackhall Rd abt 1645, displaying 736 Ulverston Direct.
33166, 34213, 34217, & 47056 on Kendal Town services, 33166 & 47056 were replaced by 20456 & 33173 during the afternoon.

A bit odd today!! 16652 heading to Carlisle at Bolton Low Houses (wrong road for 300) showing not in service about 3pm
47062 on Moorclose Circular 50.
33168 on Moorclose Circular 51.
33167, 33169 and 40445 (display dead again, boards in windscreen) on Harrington & Seaton i think lol. can't remember exactly and i didnt take note of them today lol.
25225 and 35249 on 31, with 4 Enviro 300's.
35246 and i think 35247 on 31A.
there was a solo on 1 (i was a fair distance off so couldnt identify which one lol).
14266, 14257 and 16733 on school work at St Benedict's this afternoon.
20764 on the morning Cockermouth X5, and later SL Ltd Contract.

yes that would have made more sense but for some reason they didn't. may have bene the order they were stacked up or perhaps 21007 was drafted in to replace a vehicle that failed who knows lol

There must have been a shortage of Darts in Carlisle this morning as 16337 was on the 61 and 16338 was on the 68 and 33076 on the 67. I did notice a few Darts on the pits at Willowholme so maybe that explains it!!!
i think its around MOT time for the Carlisle Citi Darts, so they'll all be in for servicing before MOT.
its odd that they've put an oly on 61 though, they'd usually take a dart off one of the non branded routes, and shove something else onto there (75 usually ends up with a vario, which is a better fit round the route than the long darts lol)

been reliably informed that 52635 ran the Whitehaven School to Frizington run this afternoon! pretty odd!
the only other school run that i've saw coaches on in the area was the one I had haha, but that was a private hire job. a B10M ran it as well (2 vehicles were needed, as they were replacing Ladybird Travel with their large capacity coaches).

Caine, can you please confirm if the rumour regarding Ladybird Travel going out of business, is ture or not ?
Ladybird Travel stopped operating in March 2008, in the school easter holidays. they went bankrupt. they had a contract with Omega Holidays, but apparently wern't being paid for it, and then their yard & vehicles were subjected to vandalism and apparently theft, and had no money available to replace stolen items and repair vandalism. with the lack of money, they couldn't afford to pay the rent on their vehicles, resulting in some having to be removed from service. they tried selling their 2 Van Hools and Optare Sorocco with no luck a few weeks before they ceased operations.

nope, 2008 lol. Stagecoach ran "my" contract from April 2008 until July 2008. JB Pickthall then took the contract up from September 2008.
some of their vehicles are still in the area, well, 2 haha. these being a Plaxton Prima bodied Volvo B7R with 70 seat configuration (registered MKZ 1562), and a Mercedes minibus conversion (registered ADZ ????). these are both now owned by AA Travel, whose yard is next to where Ladybird Travel's was.
L6 TVL, a Van Hool T8 Alizee bodied DAF, is now owned by Mini-Travel of Polesworth.

Seeing as we are doing firsts post, i suppose i better de-cloak and introduce myself..
I have been following this forum now for almost 100 pages, and whilst i could have chipped in with a few bits i have resisted, and probably wont post that much again.
I will add though that Preston Bus liveried 47765 and 47796 were on the 113's today, i have seen a few Preston Bus liveried vehicles being flung far and wide over recent weeks.
Down at Cowling (Chorleys overflow bus park) are 42092 in reserve, 47009 with the front off, this having had a lot of reports recently about something smelling in the cab and mist/steam coming through the front demisters.. also there is 20767 which has died a death with gearbox failure, which had been widely anticipated, as i was saying days before on the condition card it was buggered, and is currently seized up.
As for the tridents, i hate them.... cant drive them at all, will never get used to them ...
mind you, i may not have too soon ...................
