Oh great thanks those would be perfect for Lancaster. Could loose some of our B10's and the B6's of course. However I doubt they will move out of Preston and if they are gona replace anything it will be old Preston single deckers.

The President bodied Tridents are really no different to the Alexander bodied version, they have the same seating capacity as far as I know, but they may have a higherlower saloon capacity, so they would be of little extra benefit to Lancaster - that said, the President is one of my favourite bodies of recent years.

Assuming the sale of Preston Bus goes through, I vote to put the Lynxes into service at Lancaster

Good god man Lynxes are you mad there nearly 20 years old lol mind you would be ideal for school services and they have just been refurbished.

Bit of an odd afternoon today. Stepped off the 555 at Lancaster and sore before me Marshall Dart 33166 from Kendal. For a moment I thought "oh brilliant they have god rid of a B6 and replaced it with this". But a moment later two Kendal drivers and two other men in reflective jackets walked out and drove the dart off in the direction of the motorway. Not sure what the hell was going on really lol.

Also spotted a Solo doing the 4 route and 20452 on the 2.

No, that wasn't me. I have quite a few photos on my site that have been taken by the gentleman [and I use that term loosly!!! ] that you spoke to. He told me about the meeting just after it happened as he is a Routemaster fanatic - he actually owns one.

I've known him for over 20 years from the days when we used to baths runs from Garstang to Calder Vale School where he was headmaster. We then met up again when we both worked for Preston Bus [he still does, I don't now]

I think our paths may have crossed before! I was driving this fine machine, when the photographer pulled up behind the bus in their car to take a photo of it, as I recall we stood chatting for a few minutes too!

The Titan was heading for Preston college to pick up the No.16 to Lancaster after working a Garstang High school service.

I would second that, they are great buses to drive and they are all extremely lively. I've had 228 on several long hires and it flies. 215 is fitted with seatbelts for schools - you will never see that on ordinary service work. 212 & 218 are pretty good too. They [and 228] were used on the competing Preston - Southport service for 12 months and I had a drive of them on that occasionally. Most of the time it was school bus work for me though.

I've just thought the Lynxes would be good in Kendal. Seeing as they already have 3 school runners the Lynxes could join them. Fit them all with seat belts, CCTV, re brand them and there you are. However there really isn't room up there to store them just for school runs.

S799KRM (52629) was running X4 and was slightly later than usual to the bus station!
P134XCN (20134) ran the Seaton 47 instead of L119HHV (32917) this morning. P134 has LED and retrimmed seats.
PO51WLR (47024) on Moorclose 51.
PO51WLP (47023) was on Moorclose 50 but later swapped.
N206UHH (40006) on harrington 46.
N201UHH (40001) ran "dead" to bus station from Lillyhall.
K757DAO (20757) was running "32 ST BENEDICTS SCHOOL" which is now 33C or 33D.
K133DAO (14233) was on school run with dead display.
H117SAO (14257) was on school run with a dead display (a load of scribbles, with "NOT IN SERVICE" and "SCHOOL SPECIAL" mixed up!)
K777DAO (20777) replaced a dart / versa on 31.
K763DAO (20763) replaced a dart on 31 (31 was dart and versa free!!!).
R252NBV (16652) ran a school special this afternoon.
N206UHH (40006) went on Moorclose 50 this afternoon, freeing up solo for seaton (found out this is because standing + seated capacity bigger on solo's than 709d's, and its a popular service with school people).
N125YHH (40025) was on the annexe along with K764DAO (20764).

as both ex preston solos in Workington where they are supposed to be, i'm guessing the 2 08reg solo's were on Mirehouse Circular in Whitehaven where they are supposed to be!

i only seen one dart out of the 5 at lillyhall, and it was one of the 56 reg ones, running Frizington 31A. didnt see which one it was though, just seen a dart :-P
seen plenty of enviro 300's around though

its nice to see clear pictures of buses in service :-P mine usually end up blurred as its usual for the driver to pull away from a stop as i'm taking it! a lot of richie's are at the depot.
looking at your pics, you seem to get the best of west cumbria and carlisle! the services that i usually use! (31 and 300 are my most used)

it would have been nice to see a pic of all 4 open top tridents fully converted next to each other, but chances are Kendal in summer will be the best place for that lol.

very short list today! i havnt been anywhere near bus station or town centre, and didnt see many routes!
this is what i did see though:
PX08CSU (25225, versa) on Maryport 30 at around 0820 (about to turn towards mossbay rd.)
PX56CWN (35247, dart) on Maryport 31 at around 0825 (near lillyhall roundabout for new bypass)
N358MPN (16358 i think) on school special.
a K reg B10m replaced a dart on 31 bt didnt see its identity.
seen a few enviro 300s but didnt see their identity.
also seen a R reg oly running Carlisle 300 (passing rosehill junction) but didnt see its identity.

Not much to report from me either.

My brother came home with a letter from Stagecoach via QES, saying that they're withdrawing the Double Deck from Milnthorpe to QES due to lack of demand. It's been a joke from the start that service but anyway....
According to the letter the registered offices of SCNW are in Stockport....

Not much today. Got 18357 on the 555 to Milnthorpe then 18355 back to Lancaster. This is one of the Tridents without CCTV. This morning i sore one of the ex Preston solos on the 7 route but with the 4 to the Uni on the blinds not sure what was going on there. Couple of MANS on the 2/2a but apart from that everything's normal.

That London bus that crashed was East London which is Stagecoach isn't it?

Also i was thinking if we got our S reg Tridents from London did they just remove the second side door?

Stagecoach withdrew from London in 2006. The S reg Tridents never had a second door fitted AFAIK.

I assume Stockport is like the Registered office, but the operating decisions are made at Carlisle

just been informed that PX08FMU (47617) was running one of the moorclose circulars today it should have been on Mirehouse where it was bought for!
