I was wondering today why they chose to re do 14199 interior as its an old J reg Oly and should really be on the way out soon. Its screen needs seeing to as well.

If Preston are getting new deckers for the X2 will these be displaced?

I'd guess so, and as I can't see anything really that they can replace really, I'd guess that they could be possible PB replacements.

Ahhh yes as they will be getting rid of all PB oldies good thinking.

I'm just looking though various photos and found 17014 with an LED in Preston. I really wish they would get on with fitting the rest of the Trident 2 with LEDS some of the old style blinds are looking really warn.

The Titan was heading for Preston college to pick up the No.16 to Lancaster after working a Garstang High school service.

I was looking at the fleetlist again, and 16340 (ex LakeLink)is shown as in store, on refurb at Lillyhall. Perhaps some buses will be heading to Barrow to replace their ageing Leyland Olympains. All are F, G, J reg with one H. Of course the X35 buses are 55 plate

Yes you may be right. Those ex Links Olys have had a referb so are good examples to replace aging Leylands. I would laugh if they some ended up back at Kendal lol.

Looking at the list I see only 3 operational B6 buses (30456 has LED destination screen), where have 20793/794 disappeared to? I cant see them in the list.

Goes to show how much things can change, in 2003 Lancaster had nearly 30 B10Ms in service mostly in use on the 2/2A with the DDs working long distance services, now there are only 11!

Thing is though, they're short Olys rather than the long ones that Barrow currently has.

I think you mean B10Ms, not B6s driver9000 20793/4 will have gone for contract work in Chorley. Something to do with their age and tachos I think.

yeah true about the Olys been shorter models. Not much has been said about new vehicles for the 300 and I suspect it may have been an idea rather then a certainty.

Just traveled on 17022 on the 2A service. its blinds were broken as the mechanism had collapsed.

police wern't informed lol. i tried capturing evidence, but as soon as i tried recording them, they stopped! i wasnt happy! it was pretty cold at bus station today! waiting for school coach to turn up! which was late :-x soon caught up on time like. hit the limiter a few times
i wish i was still on stagecoach for sixth form though. couldnt fault the reliability! with their being 2 vehicles, one was always at the bus station at least 5 minutes before timetabled departure time. i don't think stagecoach were ever late on it!

mbonwick: I know 793/794 are B10Ms, I should have started a new line for that question.

When Lancaster had the good idea of shipping out its DDs (2180 etc, 219x) off the 2/2A in 2002/2003 we received a lot of B10Ms mostly from Glasgow (P54x ESA, H61x ACK) added to what we already had in the shape of the K reg and M reg B10Ms added up to an allocation of around 30 of the type in the fleet. We also received the first 2 Volvo B6 buses around the same time (277, 317) to work on the 5.

this morning, N133YRM (40033) was on Harrington 46A.
N213UHH (40013) was on Workington Bus Station annexe.
S797KRM (52627) was running the X4 (1st time i've seen it since well before it got towed to Lillyhall by Pickthall )
PO51WLR (47024) on Moorclose 51.
PX08FMU (47617) on Moorclose 50.
N194LFV (40394) was on Harrington 46.
L119HHV (32917) arrived late for its morning seaton service.
K133DAO (14233) was on a school special, along with a long olympian (think it was a H reg).
Later on (around half 1240), i seen PX08FMP (47616) on Mirehouse 3. i therefore assume Mirehouse 4 was being ran by PO51WLP (47023).
L119HHV (32917) was on BNG contract.
K759DAO (20759) was on the 30A into Whitehaven from Egremont.
K133DAO (14233) was back on schools at end of school day, and had "999" on its side display!
another olympian was on school work with an LED display but couldnt see what it was.
N201UHH (40001) has a dead display, and had a printed sign "46A" stuck on the windscreen.
L119HHV (32917) was on the annexe.
R254NBV (16654) was on Whitehaven 300 at around 1545 heading out towards Lillyhall.
a 709d was later on Moorclose 51. i didnt see Moorclose 50.

today i had the wonderful experience of a 56reg dart (PX56CWO, 35248 ), and an enviro 300 (PX08CSZ, 22597). the dart was slightly better, however was full of pensioners going to town.

Had 14199 on D6 today. We only seem to have ex Lancaster J regs on D6 these days lol. 14235 was on D1. It started out at school with D1 on the blinds and then when i spotted it again in Morecambe and it had school special on the screen. What was the point in changing it lol. D2 also had 18366 which is a rare working.

20545 was on the 4.

That is annoying. Our versas work well with their branding as 99% of the time they only run the branded service.

with you saying about the versa, i forgot to add something to the list of what i seen today :-P there was a B10m on the 31, running at the times usually ran by the versa or dart if versa on 31A.
the branding needs removed ASAP. surely they could get the versa off service for a couple of days and put a B10m on so they can remove it!

that panther would have been nice, but size a big problem. think those ones have 69 seats!

I really don't see the point in the Versa been there anyway. Whats the idea with just having one? Yeah it would be easy enough to get the branding off wouldn't it but its just a matter of getting round to it. The Trident 2's in Lancaster need their branding removed as well.

Well Fleetwood or Lancaster would have the Versa but we don't have anything to swap. Have some old MANS lol.

Great apparently there was some speculation over whether anything was coming at all but ifs it for certain that's great.

would be ideal if versa was branded for 30A really. AFAIK it is currently a 1 vehicle service.

2 more enviro 300's are needed at lillyhall as i've said before, which would free up some smaller buses (versa / dart and dart which are currently used on 31)

What are Esteems again? Can't picture them but know the name. Seeing as a lot PB oldies will be scrapped because SC is gona want them it may be that not much moves out of Preston
