not much to report today.
limited access to Workington Bus Station, causing a little confusion for passengers. the front entrance is now blocked off, meaning passengers have to use the back entrance. the 301 to Carlisle also used the back of the bus station to enter, which will have made it on the wrong side for the awaiting passengers.
N651VSS i think it was, was on the annexe at around 2pm ish, and N194LFV was there around 2:50pm.
the Info To Go bus (K877GHH i think) was in the bus station when i went past at around 2pm.

they need to just demolish the bus station! rebuild it on its current site, it is useless building it at the train station, too far out of town centre. i'm not keen on the plans for the new interchange. it is supposed to lower the amount of buses going through the town centre, but most of them have routes going through the town centre, then there will be the proposed buses linking the town centre to bus/rail interchange. waste of money in my opinion!
it will end up being a problem tomorrow! they'll be quite a lot of buses flying around, and lots of people getting confused lol. won't affect me as i get picked up behind the bus station

Expect the 50, 55, 55A, 555, 556 services to be destroyed for the next 6 weeks as major roadworks began on the busy Slyne Road in Lancaster. There is single file traffic from Owen Rd/Torrisholme Rd junction to St Josephs Church. These will obviously move as time goes on. If today (Sunday) is anything to by with the queues of traffic, then peak hours during the week will be fun(!)

yes resurfacing the road, they have already stripped from Ryelands park to St Josephs!!

Well in 6 weeks they must be doing a long stretch! In Bolton-le-Sands they went from Town End to St. Michael's lane in 2; 1st week stripping down to sub base and 2nd week putting the surface down.

I remember those ones, the guys working the stop/go boards didnt seem too interested and didnt change them for about 15minutes!!

Yeah I know!

But it wasn't so bad as they ddn't work during the peaks - they removed all the works. I'm hoping these will be like that too. If not, I'm ****ed for my GCSE Biology exam on Monday!

judging by the NW fleet list, i'm guessing T605JBA, T606JBA and T607JBA are coming to Lillyhall. will be nice to have 3 709d's gone (not that i ever use 46 / 46A / 47), but its 3 less "wrecks" to see in a morning hopefully!

i'll be at Workington Bus Station in the morning, so i'll get to see how they are going about getting buses in and out of bus station with the repair works going on!

Had 20661 on D5 today and 14235 on D6. 20661 has CCTV which was good to see. Loads of flooding around Kendal and Levens this morning so most of the buses ended up making their way back to Kendal via Crooklands.

N651VSS (40651) was in the bus station entered the bus station this morning when i was there, returning from its BNG contract work. the door was left partially open by the driver (it closed when he was still getting off, so one side stuck open. he had to manually close that side)
K759DAO (20759) was running the X4 to penrith.
N133YRM (40033) was on the 0750 to harrington.
L119HHV (32917) was running the morning seaton service.
3 pigeons were fighting in the bus station near 40651.
PX08FMU (47617) was running moorclose 51.
PO51WLP (47023) was running moorclose 50.
N194LFV (40394) was running Harrington 46A i think at 0810.
later on, i seen N212UHH (40012) running BNG contract (it went past spar when i was coming out at 1250ish)
K764DAO (20764) was running Maryport 31, passing sixth form at around 2pm. i later seen it running Frizington 31 on my way home from sixth form. (replacing either versa or 56reg dart)
PO51WLP (47023) later went on Seaton 47.
N194LFV (40394) later went onto Moorclose 51.

Scaffolding up on both entrances to Workington Bus Station. buses passing through as normal, and all passenger entrances open.

Well the 0705 556 didn't arrive until about 0800, so I had to get a lift instead.
Lancaster was not having a good day either; 20131 came in and was failed by the driver on the 1520 Ripley only 55, with only side lights. It was swapped with 21007 and then did the 1547 55 after which it goes back to the depot anyway.
47248 had an unknown fault, it was eventually used to transport 20 (no Joking!) drivers back to the depot.

20452 has had its flip dots ripped out and was running around with window boards, I wonder if it will have LEDs?

Not much else to report, 22818 was on the 1558 2A to Overton, again a single vice a DD. 18327 was on the 1610 55A, presumably for its CCTV.

I'm guessing the 556 was late because of the flooding. Lancaster had two Volvo Olys on the 2 service today, 16659 and 16665.

That fleet lists great nice and accurate. I'm guessing the Titans up for disposal are the open top ones. Why is a Solo in storage?

20452 may well be up for new blinds. However 14196 has its blinds out before Xmas and now they have been put back. They now look brand new as they are far brighter then they were and don't have dysfunctional dots on random spots on the screen. Two of the Solos screens were out.

UID 25xxx Versa turning into Scale Farm Rd on a 6A for Morecambe.
