I don't know what that B10 was coming into Lancaster. It may have been 20712 coming in to operate the D2 Dallam service. What time did you see it?

D6 was 25 mins late this morning so didn't see much of our school services. Didn't this evening either as I came home late. Had 18360 on 555 and observed a MAN on the 41 service. Also Trident 17018 on the 6a to Westgate. Also 14208 was on the 49 which is quite rare these days. Its usually on school services with the other Leyland Olys.

20752 was definately running around up here this morning.
maybe could have been 20762, which could be up for transfer. it is a Barrow vehicle, and don't usually find out anything about their vehicles, unless they involve Lillyhall lol.

Yeah could have been but I'm not sure if Lancaster would be getting any B10's unless its down for TLC or storage.

That could well be it. I was surprised - nowhere on it did is say which area of SC it belonged to. You know how they say "Stagecoach Lancashire/Lancaster/Cumbria", well this one only said Stagecoach.

Definitely wasn't a SchoolRunner - you can tell them a mile off

that is weird for a B10m! they usually always have the area on. i know lillyhall versa, enviro 300's and solo's don't have Cumbria on them, but i think the rest do. not sure about N733LTN even though i seen it today!

it is from the Chorley depot, who run (or ran) a service to Blackburn. the picture will have been taken on departure or something from Blackburn.

i havn't heard anything about any cumbrian buses going to Lancaster for anything, so have no idea what it could be! someone somewhere will have the answer!

it might have been K702DAO (20702), which is a reserve vehicle at Morecambe, which i think just says "Stagecoach". it doesn't have a location on it. if it has been de-licensed for whatever reason, then would have had trade plates on it.

This was on the 1011 from Garstang to Preston this morning. Bloody freezing sat upstairs. Then I had the pleasure [!!!] of it back from Preston at 1430. It's about time it joined its mates at Carlisle.

i'd guess that one of the 709d's is N194LFV, and possibly the N???VOD one. although i could be totally wrong and they take out some of the UHH ones.
did the engineer get N213UHH going? he was still attempting to start it of ignition when i left the bus station.

yeah 14208 should go soon as should Lancaster's other 3. It was only kept because it had full interior re-vamp. Obviously 14204 was kept because of its Livery.

any of the 709d's could go really! apart from N128YRM, but only having one bell on it is a problem!
its difficult to guess what the deckers could be, as they could come from anywhere in the UK! most likely tridents with ALX400 bodies. hopefully whatever they will be, they will have a bit of power in them! and hopefully a decent seated capacity! both of which would be needed for 300, thats if they do arrive!

PO51 WLR (47024) was on Moorclose 51 this morning.
L119 HHV (32917 i think) was on the morning seaton service.
N128YRM (40028 ) still has dead display and had a board in window for 85 Sellafield.
N125YRM (40025) was on Harrington this morning.
there was no x4 vehicle in the bus station when i left at 8:10 ish!
K761DAO (20761) and H115 SAO were both on School Specials this morning.
R255NBV was on school special this afternoon.
PO51WLR (47024) was on Seaton 47 at around 4pm.
N125YRM (40025) was on Moorclose 50 this afternoon. display said "Seaton 47) with centre unreadable, but had board for moorclose in window.
P566PNE was on Moorclose 51 this afternoon.

20790 has been with STL for ages. Well, at least since July last year. I don't know where it came from, only that it was fitted with CCTV at Morecambe.


Just a thought, but could LLs low floor DDs be connected with the PB takeover? Perhaps send some of the East Lancs Loynes up there. It would make sense as LL has the paintshops...

If you want fast buses for the 300 & X4 you DON'T want ex Preston Bus Tridents / East Lancs Lolynes. You do well to get 50mph out of them. In fact there are several that will only do 45mph max. I know, I used to drive them on out of town school services!!!

Hmmm....I suppose you're right, but I get the feeling that the PB Loynes are involved somewhere...

ideally, for 300 / X4 / X5, they need to be able to do 50mph with ease, possibly 60mph. most of the 300 route is in a 50 zone, but you don't want to be doing those speeds at top whack! like the coach i am on for sixth form! as far as i am aware, a lot of the X4 / X5 routes are upto 60mph, but i'm not certain as i havnt travelled on them for a long time!

i did make a mistake with that, but unfortunately it wasnt with 40028. 40028 is N128YRM, 40025 is N125YHH.
the last N???UHH in Stagecoach NW is 40015. 40016 - 40025 is N???YHH. 40026 - 40033 is N???YRM.

with the speed, i was thinking more of if they went on dual carriageways out of service for whatever reason. i should have made myself clear on that.

How come 20790 was fitted with CCTV when not all the B10's in Lancaster's fleet are?

I imagine PB buses will be moving around at some point but who knows? They could come from anywhere that's getting new buses this year. For example Prestons getting new Scania's as we know and Manchester I'm sure will be replacing some of their older vehicles. So who knows we shall wait and see. How exiting!

20790 was allocated to Preston garage.

The 50mph limit only applies on single carriageway roads, its 60mph on dual carriageway and 70mph on motorways.

K779DAO (20779), and N???VOD were both on annexe around 12:45.
N128YRM (40028 ) was on Harrington 46 with boards in window, display not working.
at around 1pm, there was a little trouble getting buses onto the annexe, which meant the ar*e end of K768DAO (20768 ) was sticking out into the road while buses were moved around to get 20768 on.
PO51WLR (47024) was on Moorclose 50, and PX08FMU (47617) was on Moorclose 51.
later on (around 3pm) N201UHH (40001), N213UHH (40013), K765DAO (20765) and K761DAO (20761) were on the annexe.
one of the jonckheere coaches were running the X5, but couldnt see which one it was.

on a different topic, residents of Northside pretty unhappy about the new timetable, which means that the last bus to the northside estate from the bus station is at 1415!!! instead of 1715!!! Click Here to read the news article from the Times And Star neswspaper.
