i expected stagecoach to fit them with flip dots really, with them being fitted quite recently!
hopefully LEDs are fitted soon!

Reports are that Fotopic has gone bust!

The Darts have a mix of flip darts and bright tech blinds. Lancaster still has one in storage but I'm sure this will be moved within the next few days if their meant to go into service on Monday.

18327's rear blind has been out of action for weeks and its annoying me! Maybe they don't know its broken or something as the driver doesn't see etc.

Also it is likely that Preston bus will be taken over by Stagecoach on the 23rd if the shareholders in Preston bus agree with the move. Apparently it was Preston bus who approached Stagecoach about the takeover and not Stagecoach directly bullying them into submission.

Yes lets hope indeed although some Fotopic users have already begun to transfer photos onto their other websites. But nobody knows as Fotopic haven't said anything so your explanation is very probably correct!

havnt been out yet, but my friend was travelling to lancaster in car this morning, and he has seen 47023 on Harrington 46. no idea what is covering moorclose yet.
also, he told me that one of the joncks have broken down on service!!! i think it is near Penrith where it has broken down. i assume a B10m has been sent out to recover the passengers.
i was just thinking before, would a double decker work on x4/x5? they are considerably taller than the joncks, which i think are low height coaches. the deckers could very easilly get damaged by the large amount of tree's on the route. it will only take one tree to fall over a little bit in strong winds to damage a decker!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
just got back after going to town.
PO51WLP (47023) was on Harrington 46A, with small font used on front display and a thinner font on side display than usual. N128YRM (40028 ) was running Seaton 47 had a dead display and therefore had destination boards in windscreen. Moorclose 50 was ran by PX08FMU (47617), Moorclose 51 was ran by K763DAO (20763) which is a bus seated B10m. N358MPN (16358 ) was on Whitehaven 300, and R253NBV (16653) was running Carlisle 300. PX08CTO (22607) on its usual Maryport 300, but has developed a slight rattle since i last seen it! K759DAO (20759), M595OSO (20195), K765DAO (20765) and P566PNE (42566) were all on Workington Bus Station annexe.
havnt heard anything about the allegedly broken down Jonck yet.

I dont understand why they are keeping the versa (25225) in this area, I would have thought that when it was taken off the route it was purchased for that they would have sent it to a depot where there are other versa's, ie- Morecambe, Fleetwood or Preston. It looks a bit odd running around on the 30/31/31A services with all the dart's and MAN E300's in my opinion...

anything they get will look odd. if anything was brought onto it, they would need a new enviro 300, which as we can probably guess, will never happen. if they could somehow find another PX56 reg dart (could be impossible), then they should send the versa elsewhere (carlisle would be good, for the 75 service)

Well any darts would be nice lol. We currently operate two Volvo B6's which are the only two in full time service in the Northwest!

Yes I agree about the Versa it is odd having only one, i thought that when i looked at the fleetlists when we got our Versa's. We got three and LL got one which i thought was really random. I'm sure we could find a use for it no problem. I imagine we will get some more Solo's if anything to replace our B6's in a few months. We got two ex Preston 51 plate Solo's (were re painted at Lillyhall i think) which are doing well.

Preston bus have a sizable collection of solo's and it may be that when ST take over PB some of them are sent up here. Actually if ST do take over PB will PB's fleet be repainted and operate as Stagecoach?

everyone i have talked to has noticed the versa is totally different, but people are starting to take more notice of the registrations than most people think! a lot of my non bus liking friends are starting to look at the age of vehicles, and think that older vehicles aren't anywhere as good as newer. i have known people go to carlisle from west cumbria and think that the carlisle citi's are sh*t, even though they are the same. the only difference being branding on carlisle citi's, and CCTV in lillyhall ones.

tbh, having the 2 remaining B6's in service isnt really a bad thing. it is a similar case to lillyhall having the last remaining step entrance dart, which i think is on its way out now. doesnt go around corners well at all! looks like it will tip over!

Yes but seeing as they seem to have made a big effort to get rid of the 709d's (for obvious reasons) and the rest of this B6's its about time ours went which I'm sure they will. Their looking scruffy and old because...well...they are and if we got rid of them we wouldn't have any step entrance mini buses left. Anyway I'm sure they will be gone sometime soon.

Yes I knew that but got told in confidence a while ago and so didn't mention it lol. I do hope Lancaster get some cast offs. In fact isn't the X2 the route that Kendal's old Volvo Olys were branded for? To be honest i think if (big if) we get anything we'll get some Old Vol Oly to replace our remaining Leylands (probs keep 14204 coz of its livery).

Good I'm glad they will all get repianted and turned into Stagecoach. They have some nice new buses do PB bu they will obviously be kept down there.

I wish they would get four for the 300's! Our R reg Oly's are shagged!!!

they are pretty ridiculous! i hate having to travel on them! isnt often i use 300 though, usually bug my dad to drive me :D R524NBV is the worst! the only bus seated vehicle used on 300 i think! really uncomfortable! i'm suprised 300 hasnt been made low floor yet. loads of old people use it! some of them are even stupid enough to go to upper deck if they can't get a double seat on their own downstairs!

i have no idea where the old ones are going! i found out a while ago, but it has been released on a fleet list, so mentioned it lol. the fleet list only gives the number, reg, chassis, body (no seating mentioned), 2009, and it has a note on it saying "for Preston [X2]" on this fleet list, it is showing 4 Tridents as reserve, which i havnt heard about. there are 3 05 reg, and 1 55 reg.

They are dead smart and will look even smarter in ST livery lol. How many routes do ST and PB share? Do you reckon they will have more vehicles then they need once the takeover goes ahead?

Are you sure that the Enviros are 15xxx? I was of the impression that Enviro 400s were 19xxx, 15xxx having already been used.

I'm sure PB vehicles will be off for scrap when SC take over. The lynxs (215 excepted) and E reg deckers spring to mind...
