The new E400 MMC's that Sharston have got really are neat looking. What are the specs of those ones?

Managed to get four consecutive journeys on four different buses in this batch without really trying (three on the X41 and one on the 101). Very warm downstairs and, if I've heard it correctly, plays a little jingly tune when the stop bell is pressed.

Wright Axcess Floline V138 DND is now a Driver Trainer for Rock Ferry, also worth noting is that the 3 remaining Flolines hardly seem to see service now, They seem to rather use the Wright Renowns that on paper are School Buses, I wonder if theres any plans to withdraw the Flolines real soon?

At a guess;
Those E400s going to Preston for the 1
Gillmoss for the 86C
Can't see anything for Chester to use them on though...new route? Or perhaps Rock Ferry for the 471/2?

The loadings are slowly going up on the X8 but tbh they are not to the stage where they Justify Deckers, hopefully that will change tho

Can anyone remember the 2 Deckers at Chorley that are Taco Fitted?

What are Chorley getting to replace the Scanias? And what will be ousted at Preston?

As TRN481V has said above, most likely replacement would be new style E400s on Scania base, and I think Preston would lose the oldest of its ALX400s.

My thinking would be if the Scanias are deployed on route 1 then that’s going to shuffle the Trident E400s onto route 2/2A and 68 (joining the 55 reg ALX400s), thus removing the regular appearance of single deckers on those routes and ousting the 04 reg ALX400s from the depot. I’m surprised that the 68 hasn’t yet had any sort of vehicle upgrade. It’s a busy and popular route and I think it would benefit from new or newer buses.

I think its ether 15563, 564 or 565. Flickr search shows these three to have been used on ether the X8, X61 or on private charters/tours.

That would mean something will need Taco fitted, hated them Buses when i used the X8 so be glad to see the back of them tbh

Unsure about GM, although they do have a fleet shortage at present, Preston yes they are planned to be used on the 1 or possibly 2 2A, Chester is the X8 Chester - Liverpool.

Guys, the above fleet moves and speculation only work if the information is correct in the first place.

Quite simply, the quoted movement of Scanias is not what is planned. The X8 will remain E300 worked and no E400s from Chorley will move to either Gillmoss or Chester. A repaint programme is about to start on the existing 125 fleet as they are all coming to the point in the paint programme where they need doing and the removal of the branding will assist when they eventually move off the 125.

All will become clear in due course, but for now the full plan remains commercially confidential.

Dave.

Well of course its all speculation. No information can ever be taken for real until theres an official announcement or the situation/moves actually takes place.

If you read back through the posts I don't think anyone has ever said this is actually going to happen. In ALX400's original post about the moves he did state that they were expected moves. We all know anything can happen and situations can change.
