16661 has gone to Barrow.
18143 in Bowness early this afternoon..
Does anybody have an update on the Rouemaster (s?) that are been refurbed?
It'll be a shame when 16664 leaves. Any plans to repaint another bus in the classic stripe livery? It's a regular on the 42 to Blackpool and is always nice to see.
Kendal one is coming along nicely. Far as Im aware the Lillyhall one is not being refurbished and they are robbing parts off it unless things have changed again.
Ex First 33338 towed into Carlisle this afternoon for repaint no doubt.
Yes, 33338 was/is allocated to Wigan. I sincerely hope its staying there!
Oh well, i know that and how many darts going north west? i believe 4 or 5 are going.
it should be scrap or whatever.
martyn
Broke down at Shap on way to Kilmarnock. Was not one of the ones that are coming for repaint from the First fleet.
Hello all
New member just joined up
Another bus nut lol from Carlisle
Not a stagecoach fan tbh liking the relays bus war here in carlisle
I've heard that stagecoach are getting new buses and getting rid of the old ssheds in Carlisle?
You heard wrong.
52629 554.
There is a good example
What on earth is a old S reg coach doing on main routes
Plus we now have old T reg sheds in Carlisle that you can hardy see the route display
Just remember that buses and maybe more so coaches are built to last a lot longer than cars. Some coaches can still give great daily service when 16/17 years old.
Also today I noted a 104 branded enviro on the 61 at about 4:20 this afternoon.
and the 79/179s were severely delayed going back to Carlisle, I overheard a driver talking about a flood somewhere but not really sure. A lot of city darts made it onto the route as replacements.

I used to work in the bus/coach industry for over 20-years, and found that some of the older buses / coaches are more reliable and better to drive then some of the newer ones are.
Unfortunately, the travelling public prefer to travel on newish vehicles.
Makes sence NOT, to remove an engine from an R-reg'd to put it in an P-reg'd
If you mean the Tridents, they're MX05/55 plated and were new in 2005 to Stagecoach Manchester.
Ahh just got a quick look cheers for that
They look well after prob a repaint?
Any changes refurb inside?
How many came to Carlisle
So far Carlisle has 18357, 18361 and 18365.
Don't think any have been refurbed since they've arrived. Could be wrong
