Saw a very unusual sight this morning, M.A.N. 22825 being towed-in.

I don't mean to post too many allocations but there were a few unusual allocations today...

Cumberland Livered 22609! was on the X4 this evening!!! not sure if it was on all day or just replaced a failed profile.

16329 was back on the 78 covering for the 2 new(but useless) tridents that have both failed this week.

and weirdly in Kendal there were 2 scanias 15726 and I think 15728 on town services! not sure if its usual for a saturday or if there was a shortage of Buses

and 20904 was in Penrith on 105/106 duty(I presume)

You have to expect problems with buses that have sat for so long! What service's were the Enviros on in Kendal??? If thats true I would be highly suprised.

I'm positive they were both on the 41/41A/44 Board because I was in weatherspoons all afternoon with a friend and the 44 goes past there every 30 minutes and there constantly seemed to be the Green Scanias going past, I have occasionally seen a Double decker on the town routes in Kendal but 2 for a whole day suggests a slight bus shortage..

Bit more than slight. They prefer to use School Runners on there ahead of deckers so pretty incredible.

I had wondered if the Scanias were on due to being low floor but there's nearly always a b10 out on 1 route or another so its certainly an unusual allocation!

In corporate colours with 'in cumbria' above the entrance doors and cab. Will try and get a pic this week if still in yard.

Why wouldnt it be in corporate colours?

It going to be a vinyl from what I understand and not a full repaint again. Not sure if anymore than 1 would be branded considering all 3 are not needed.

I heard a while back they were going to be repainted into Lakes Green but a vinyl sounds about right!

22141, 22121 and 16393 at Kendal today. 16185 on the 555 shuttle bus today too with me at the wheel until 1500 when going back onto a school.

47721 on 61s tonight after problems with it on 77s this morning. 47022 was took off the 69 to replace it in Keswick with 34700 replacing it on 69 before going onto 685.

17015 on 555 shuttles this afternoon.

There is a red Trident in the bodywork area and as the open toppers are now done Im putting two and two together

555 Shuttle bus from Kendal bus station to Plumgarth round about seems to be attracting open top buses. Today has seen 16294, 20712, 17012

I suspect is more because the OTs are what Kendal can spare! The majority of SDs/closed top deckers are spoken for with regular work.

The extra 2 B10Ms they have gained are currently off which is not helping them at all.

Was up at the University today - were my eyes deceiving me, or did I see an Olympian operating a 4? Just seeing a double deck on that route is unusual enough!

It could have been running a 42 as sometimes, from a certain angle it just looks like there is a 4. However deckers have operated the 4 in the past! Did you notice what destination was on the blind?

Only the stagecoach 42s go up to the uni, dont know about the kirky lonsdales.

Yes I know, I don't think the Kirkby ones do especially as they are only in the evening.
