hopefully won't be too long until we find out for definate what is coming!
i'd have thought 34079 would have went to Carlisle with them having the other ALX200 and some badly sounding vario's.
oh well, at least 32917 will be going hahaha

As I was driving pass Lancaster Bus Stn @ abt 14.57, 18380 was on its way out, departing for Blackpool.

When I was queueing to come out of the car park at Tesco @ 15.47, in Carnforth, UID empty short Marshall bodied Dart heading North along the A6.

will be interesting to see where 32917's LED display goes to! would be nice if it ventured into 33168!
on the topic of wondering how well it runs, if its like the one at Carlisle, its pretty much the same as the marshall bodied examples, which aren't too bad, but they quite often bang into the lower gears :-P

Well their slowly draining Morecambe of all its visitors then. As mentioned on the last page a few more solos have turned up and one can assume that they will be heading up north i.e LL maybe.

Hahahaha well we will see in the coming weeks!!!! The solos wont stay in Lancaster for long I would have thought and Gez is usually on he ball about where they are going.

Lancaster seem to have started repainted all their MANS. They've started with repaints at the bottom of the number series working up and started fitting CCTV at the top of the number series working down.

The road works in Carnforth are a right pain atm. Got the 55 from Carnforth and we were followed by the 55a the whole way back to Lancaster lol.

34079 added to new seats list.

Makes sense that it is replacing 32917, like for like really. If any 474** Solos are coming to Lillyhall, it will be a while as most are currently in Manchester (Stockport) until the new orders start arriving.

Tiny Darts are good fun, quite nippy from what I remember. I assume LLs was new to London? It takes about 10 days to prep and paint a bus including any repanelling and rubbing down they use heat lamps to dry them I think its just Carlisle and Preston with paint shops it was always Carlisle ME buses went to. Lancaster has been known to do painting though 14204 was done at White Lund.

I think its fair to say only Carlisle, Preston and Gillmoss have dedicated paint shops although all depots can do painting work.

34079 was new to SelKent as SLD79

Stagecoach North West got an extra paint shop with the purchase of Preston Bus. As far as I am aware, Selbourne Street has never had one. Vehicles used to be painted at Blackburn as well, until that was sold off a few years ago.
The one at Deepdale Road is not a spray booth, the vehicles are hand painted. I would agree that it takes about 9 -10 days from the vehicle being taken off the road to it resuming service.

Oh cool well 10 days isn't bad actually :) I'm not sure if Lancaster two new solos are going to get a repaint or not but the last two 51 plates did.

I could not agree more, after getting struck in them early:-x The 555 have been arriving back into Kendal from Lancaster upto 20 mins late, because of the road works in Carnforth.

Understatement alert!

Yesterday the 1620 arrived in Lancaster at 1655...nearly 40 minutes late. By the time it got to Milnthorpe, it was 47 mins late!
