Bad news K768 DAO, just been informed that 33164-33166 (T602-604 JBA) are also due to be transferred to Lillyhall.

I don't think there will be any replacements for 33164-33166 at Kendal, as I have been lead to believe that these are to be made surplus to requirements with the next round of service cuts, due to a shortfall in funding from central goverment for subsidized services, with some services finishing as early as 4pm!!!!!!

13296 & 13297 have been brought out of reserve at Lillyhall to operate out of Deepdale Road
The current list of Preston Bus vehicles in Stagecoach livery are

Spied an Optare Solo in Blackpool last night sitting at the old bus station, didnt get its number or reg but it appeared to have the Preston council sheild on the front between the headlights. It was dark and I was too far away to confirm it for sure Im afraid.
As I recall a MAN seats 42 and a B10M seats 49 so there isnt much in it but the MAN has a higher standing capacity. Its still odd that MANs are being allocated to the 55A when B10s are running around on the 3 & 4. The only time this used to happen was if a MAN had been on maintenance (VOR) during the morning and was the only bus available to be put on the afternoon peak service. There was a MAN duty that worked an early round trip to Silverdale(?) and back but it then picked up a 3 at about 07:30.
I doubt Lancaster will see much change to its allocation because it recently had a large influx of newish buses and the Im not aware of plans to convert anymore routes to low floor operation, the Lancaster fleet network is stable and works well, pity they dont seem to try as hard in keeping low floor buses on their proper routes anymore.

this morning, 47023 on Moorclose Circular 50 and 47024 on Moorclose Circular 51.
i'd guess 33168 was on 46 / 46A / 47. 33168 later swapped with 47023 for some odd reason (pretty odd that a B27F low floor is swapped with a B27F low floor!).
20757 was on 31A.
20195 and another B10m were on 31, along with 35246 and 25225 and some E300's.
All services running through Workington Bus Station will be disrupted! rather annoyingly, the road behind bus station is closed for roadworks, which means diversions for buses entering and leaving at the rear entrance.
these road works have annoyed my coach driver for sixth form!!! its a county council contract, they plan the route, yet they havnt informed drivers of the roadworks, so no one has any idea where we will get picked up at in the morning!!!

wouldn't suprise me if 33168 broke down soon lol, i personally don't like it lol. i found it quite rough and rocky, find solo's much nicer to be a passenger on!
going back to the unconfirmed information i posted, it has changed lol. apparently the 2 solo's aren't coming Lillyhall now, but this information is still unconfirmed lol. i've been told 2 T reg darts will be on service 1 (Lowca - Kells, the route will be changed for the larger vehicles), one will be for Maryport Town Services (57), and the other (33169, when finishes work in Preston) will join the other 2 currently in service on Harrington and Seaton.
personally, i would wait until any of this is confirmed really, stuff seems to change a lot when its unconfirmed lol.

if its true that Lillyhall getting more darts rather than solo's, i'd imagine they'd take the solo's off Moorclose, then make Whitehaven minibus town services all solo, and the Workington ones all dart. that is my personal opinion lol.

14255 broke down outside St Benedicts School after dropping kids off. it was fixed and left school site at approx 10:20.

I spotted 17016 today heading through Levens toward Milnthorpe. It was been driven by an engineer and had trade plates ( as its not legal till it comes into season). Looked very smart I love those things lol.
Also I think 14252 has had a repaint as its very shiny so should be around for a while yet.

14187, 14267, & 14266 were all on X35's today, this service is advised as being operated by low floor buses!!!!

Is that one of the open top ones?
Not necessarily because its 'illegal' more likey that it had no road tax on it.

17016 is OT, yes.
If it has no road tax, it is illegal, therefore both of you are right in your own way. I also suspect that it might have something to do with the PSV operators licence.
Saw 17024 today, had some rather nasty looking scratches down both sides on the lower deck. I wonder, as it was on both sides, if it was involved in a minor prang at the depot?
