Looks a lot longer than the Olympians!

Means 16335 will ahve gone back to N335 NPN.
The reason it is on personalised plates (effectively) is so it can be used before the 1st March for familiarisation. The other E400s will arrive for 1st March so they can enter service when 09 reg becomes valid.

havnt long been back from Whitehaven, and there was a little bit of bus trouble coming back!!! i was on 25225, and it was refusing to work when we pulled up at Moorclose shops! it wouldnt set off, then it cut out, driver started it again, still refused to move, then after about 10 seconds, it suddenly decided to work!!!!!

i have also been to Cockermouth today, had 20779 going there on X4, which was a little cramped, and it still has its Bright Tech control unit!!!!! the LED control unit is in a different place. coming back i was on 52629! and it was pretty smooth!!!!! shame2 of the back seats were missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well, on the floor!!!!
52626 came into Workington Bus Station, unloaded its passengers, then went on Staff Shuttle while 20779 ran X4. there was also 20759 on X5.

minibuses all over the place again! 33167 and 33168 started out on Moorclose Circulars today. 33167 later made its way onto Harrington / Seaton service.
40028 was running that service but was sitting on the annexe.
20752 was brought onto Moorclose 50 to cover the dart.
47616 was on Mirehouse 3, with 47024 on Mirehouse 4. 47023 and 47617 were no where in sight!!!

rather suprisingly, West Cumbria Day Rider Plus is now £4.10 (was previously £3.95). it has only went up by 15p, whereas the Workington Day Rider (and probably Whitehaven Day Rider) have both went up by 30p!

also, 16652 was on 300, and i noticed it had a sign in it for CCTV, but when i was on it on saturday, there was no CCTV cameras on it!

Hmm, thats a suprise, considering they have just re-painted 32920, I was told it was going to Deepdale depot, (Preston Bus), must be a last minute change of plan!

I can't open that file for some reason, does it say which other T reg dart is coming to Lillyhall? We already have 33167 and 33168, there should be a third.

There is a Dart down there, but I can't remember which one it is. 32925 I think. It has LED fitted anyway.
No mention of the other Marshall I'm afraid, but Kendal now have 4 Pointer Darts so another may be on the way straight form Kendal.
EDIT: 33169 is only at Preston covering for a vehicle which is OTR, so it will end up at Lillyhall once the repaints slow down/ TT changes take effect.

The list is attached in the first post, you should be able to use explorer to open the zip file and then open the list with excel.

The new E400, VLT 255 is fleetnumber 15466

Anything could happen come March and the service changes in Preston. You might get some more Solos.
I'd certainly expect a lot of ex-PB deckers to be heading you way regardless!

this will probably never happen, but it would be nice if they put 52413 into service temporarilly at Lillyhall so one of those joncks can go!!!
52629 turned into C50F today rather than C51F!!! wouldnt suprise me if it ended up as C46F by the time it leaves service!!!!!

I was meaning decker storage, I can hardly see Stagecoach finding a use for E regs! They'll probably get robbed and then scrapped, but who knows....Ensign may have them.

The anti-social bus was it not? Thickened windows etc for bussing police into trouble areas? Also used as an info thing. I think.

L117HHV was fitted with thick plastic windows, rather than glass, so they didnt shatter if anything was thrown at them when it was transporting police officers.

havnt seen much of lillyhall's services today. noted one of 51 reg solo's running Moorclose Circular 51, and one of Marshall Darts on Moorclose Circular 50.

Preston Bus operate a large number of school services on which Lancashire County Council specify 85 seaters. This is why they bought the vehicles from Lothian as replacements for the 85/86 seater Atlanteans. So expect them to be in service a while longer unless there are some renegotiations of tenders. However, those that specify 85 seaters certainly need them.

Anyway, they are actually pretty good buses to drive [except 129, which is crap]. They came down in pairs over 5 delivery runs, so I had the priviledge of bringing 5 of them down from Edinburgh in 2005 [this is how I knew, at very outset, that 129 was crap!!!]. Certainly 127 is the best of the 10 with the smoothest gear change you could wish for.

I reckon some of Barrow's deckers may head down there when the Olys move up there from Preston.

BREAKING NEWS!!- My girlfriend saw a Stagecoach double decker with X2 branding on the side and an LED screen with out of service up. It was heading in the direction of SC Morecambe depot. Obviously one of the ones from Preston. Must be up for storage before it moves to Barrow. Does this sound about right?

You? Girlfriend? Never :p

Yeah, probably one of the ex-LakesLink Olys coming to have branding removed, after all Morecambe did the branding on the Versas for Preston as well as Kendal's Tridents.

Won't exactly be for store, I bet they want them in Barrow ASAP.

haha thanks for that lol

Yeah thought it would be something like that. They have changed the branding to show the new prices on the Versa's by the way.

Not noticed really

I see Kendal only managed to scrub the prices off their Trident's solebars at the back....typical half arsed Kendal measures!

Sinse when do Kendal have any branding on their Tridents?

Kendals buses often used to have the drivers rate of pay on the rear bumper along with a telephone number to call for an application form.

14208 was spied on the A6 near Galgate this evening heading for Lancaster on a 42 around 17:45.

Not been around much this week so not a lot to report.....
