it was taken by Ritchie B :P i still havnt travelled with him! seen him loads of times, and seems a careful driver! better than the driver i had in carlisle who almost put the bus through a garden wall! on 75 service!
i only really use 300 and 31 these days. occasionally use 30 if i'm just going to whitehaven, but its mostly 31.

yeah, he has mentioned being from devon, and about the 709d at lillyhall with the devon registration mark!
i'll probably start using moorclose circular a bit more, but the 31 is pretty tempting! leaves bus station around the same time as 51, and gets to moorclose shops earlier. i really want to go on one of the solo's lol. been on the versa, which is awesome, just need to try out the solo's lol. been on pretty much everything else! i think there is only the P reg varios and L119HHV that i havnt been on! i'm not counting N reg oly's, as i've been on H, K and R reg ones.

the bell is a little weird, but everything else is nice! when i eventually get to drive buses, i think things like the versa would be the hardest! knowing my luck and driving style, the overhang will be a big problem!
the enviro's are a nice ride, but they don't take the bumpy roads well, K734DAO didn't either. i've forgot the name of the road now, but its as you are heading towards Hillcrest from Caldbeck Road. you turn left off Caldbeck road, and its that road that is the worst! i usually sit near the back of the bus, and the enviro's don't sound too strong lol. it also sounds like the gearbox could blow on some of them! not sure what its like for the driver, but quite a few times they have sounded like they don't want to change up! or they sound like an upchange will kill it!
as you say, can't beat the B10m's. well, some of them you can (K734DAO comes to mind! and 20107), but some of the better ones (K768DAO and P129XCN) are pretty good! the speed of the doors on K768 is a good point! last time i was on it they were open before you realised the driver pressed the button! doors on enviro's too slow!

i've heard the beeping quite a lot hahahaha. the delay can be really annoying! when its a 56reg dart or B10m, the door is open before its stopped, so you can get on straight away, and most of the time, drive off before the door is closed! i think the ticket machines slow things down too! not sure how you feel, but the older ones were a little faster! 3D still use the "old" ones! it really annoys me when i get a queue of pensioners infront of me, and they all use those stupid free travel cards, then the machine ends up freezing!!! i only keep the tickets so i can keep note of the buses i have been on. it comes in handy when you are talking about drivers too, as numbers mean more than names to some people! you could say a name of a driver, and find out there are about 10 drivers with that name!

56reg darts can be a little rough, but they feel stronger than the enviro's! the darts seem to be better at hill starts too! which is quite a big thing on 30 / 30A / 31 / 31A! especially when joining the loop road from mc donalds area!
this won't annoy you obviously, but it really annoys me when i get onto a bus, and end up getting a lecture off the driver before issuing the ticket! usually when i ask for a "day rider". its the same thing every time! and usually the same drivers who give the same lecture! you'd think that when i ask for a day rider and put £4 on the tray, it means that i want the day rider plus costing £3.95. i wouldnt put £4 on the tray if i wanted the £1.95 day rider. that can slow down the process of getting passengers on board! i think there is only one driver who has looked at how much i have put in the tray when asking for a day rider, and it was Andrew (i'll have his driver number upstairs). he could probably guess i was going whitehaven though, as he has drove me to sixth form plenty of times when stagecoach had the temporary contract last year.

the driver in that case was one who generally annoys me. i won't name them, but they know (having drove me to sixth form on countless occasions, and through their expression say "its you again") that i'd be going to whitehaven. the thing that really annoyed me was they looked at the tray, and said in a rather snobish voice i know they don't have "i'm guessing you are wanting a day rider plus because as you can see when i press day pass it gives various options and looking at what you placed in the tray and looking at the machine a day rider plus is the nearest option." i'd usually switch off, but this time listened to make note of what they actually said! would have been easier if he just asked if i wanted the town one or west cumbria one. another annoying thing is when i have asked for a west cumbria day rider, and the driver says in a muffled voice "day rider plus".

i seen a B10m on the 301 sunday service before, but forgot which one it was! i think it was K779DAO.

i havnt seen any other stagecoach at all today. havnt been to town to see what was around. i'd guess that a solo was on 30, and 709d's on the rest, apart from X4 / X5, which usually has its usual jonck.

usual sunday services then really lol. i find it weird how sunday services in west cumbria are no where near as busy as other days, but the trains can have a few more. people coming to workington from whitehaven usually get train on sundays. i don't know why they just stick to the bus services really, they are a lot better than the local train service!

33169 - T607 JBA

Also, the NW Open Day will be 23rd May at Morecambe.

not sure how long they have been running but the service is ridiculous! they run from Carlisle to Whitehaven and then back to Carlisle. i think they only use 1 train, as there is a 2 hour time gap each way!
looks like i won't be going to the open day this year :( getting to morecambe isnt the problem, its the fact that it is pretty much in the middle of exams :( really important set of exams for me! can pretty much decide which university i'm going to if any!

i feel sorry for whoever uses X6! can't be nice travelling on an AA! there is only their S reg vario with slam door and the 70 seater they got off Ladybird that are any good!
it would be good if stagecoach done more direct services, such as a none stop whitehaven to barrow. barrow depot isnt really linked to anything at lillyhall. one of the best stagecoach bus links i have seen is X4/X5, then onto 555 to Lancaster. would be a long journey, but at least it is linking stuff (seems random when its on here, but it makes sense to me in my head!)

I think the Sunday train service was introduced from the December timetable change.

Might have a trip to the Morecambe open day, will be nice to see it from a public point of view I spent the last one in a bright yellow jumper driving 10056 on the free shuttle to Christie Park.
