What sort of E300s are the ones for Carlisle? The MAN ones are 22xxx and as far as I am aware the ALD ones are 27xxx. Sorry - I think I've answered my own question in that I imagine the 22 series must have been used up and the MANs now use the 24 series for numbering.

i was told ADL's, cos the MANs are more city style buses. the routes they're going to be used on are "long distance". we'll find out soon enough though.
the 24xxx series was used for articulated Scania's.
the 27xxx series was used for all full length single deck Dennis chassis', mostly Dennis Lance's.

Apparently a new Morecambe FC bus is due to be launched tomorrow at the clubs first home game of the season. It will be similar to the Morecambe & Wise bus.

33168 and 47616 on Harrington & Seaton. 47616 is on the time slot that usually covers town evening services.

What are CE's E300's actually replacing? Surely it will be B10's not darts but then they have just received new B10's from Manc. It makes no sense to invest in new low floor vehicles and then get rid of a load at the same time.

done a bit of digging on what they're replacing haha.
they're supposed to be replacing 20107, 20219, 20306, 20435, 20436, and the 2 Paladin bodied B10M's (20894 and 20994), but we'll see what happens!

What will become of the B10's?

most likely disposal. the 5 K reg's that were just replaced went straight onto the disposals list.
not sure about the P reg and the 2 R reg's though. the 2 Paladin ones are non-standard bodies, and the P reg doesnt fit into the fleet, neither does 20107. 20107 being N207 LTN, and 20219 being P219 HBD.

Very interesting as they have had a lot of news of the past months and it seems to be legit. It could of course be a huge hoax but I don't think someone would go to such extremes lol.

"We can now announce that at the 1st home game of next season we will be unveiling the bus; there will be more details to come in the local press.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the sponsors and fans that have helped make this possible. "

Not an hoax they have been raising money for the bus and me thinks it might ready for the end of the season (last game at christie park) or when they move to the new stadium on westgate.

Yes its SC as mentioned in the radio interview. The pic is not an accurate representation of the finished product.

The project will cost £16,000 and it will take up to 3 weeks to prepare the bus.

20765 was on X4.
47060 on evening Cockermouth X5 after running Moorclose Circular 50.
47616 on Workington Town Evening Services.
20768 on 301.

drivers seem a bit fed up of the current bus station arrangements! buses are struggling to get on the annexe cos stuff is in the way, then they're struggling to get off. some are having to take longer trips by going in the opposite direction and turning around due to difficulty of getting off the annexe in the direction they need to be!

forgot to add about 20752's display!!!
the left hand side of the Bright Tech said "In Service", the right hand side had "SL Ltd Contract". i am uploading a pic to my Flickr, but its a bit difficult to see!

Spotted a 709d with a bright tech when looking in my rear view mirror whilst driving up senhouse street in Maryport this morning... Took another lap around the town to see, and sure enough it was 40013 on 57 circular... i'm guessing this is out of reserve, covering the sick Solo 47061? 40013 didn't sound too healthy itself, wheezing up the hill!!

can now confirm that 14203 WAS roof damaged recently, although its roof "remains". the damage wasnt as severe as its other 2 accidents, but it has left damage along the roof of the bus. rather than repair, it is being stripped of parts and will be sold for scrap.

With all this talk about Titans I'm thinking about how much I miss Lancaster's Titans. Was always over the moon whenever I got one on the 2/2a :)

When are London meant to be going Bendy bus free? I always thought ex London Bendy buses would look great on the X1 in Lancaster lol. It would be the only route it would work on seeing as it doesn't pass by the bus station haha.

I was always pleased to have Titans on normal service - only thing better was a Bristol VR

Bendy-buses were tried out in Lancaster very briefly in the mid-90s I think it was a Volvo B10MA coach, it was soon discovered that the type were highly unsuitable for the city with the number of tight turns preventing their use on many routes, including the City centre 'loop'

London is supposed to be bendy free by 2015 I think, once Boris gets his hands on the new Routemaster (most likely crew operated Enviro400s!)

An unidentified LED fitted short body Volvo Olympian motoring up the M6 this morning on the X8 (Chorley-The Lake district) it alays makes me chuckle to to see such a generalised destination :D
