12086 is currently off the road , The latest Hybrid to suffer problems from probably the most faultiest batch of busses ever delivered to a bus company ! Broke down yesterday in denton burn & got towed all the way back to Walkergate
Hybrids are set to work the 12 aswell on Sundays from the next couple of weeks , In the meantime the batch bought for service 12 is now in a mixed pool with other the other E400's ! So that means its highly unlikely 19670/83 will all be on the 12 again .

19195 is now at Slatyford

Yes , From now on sundays the 12 will be ran by Hybrids & more Hybrids will end up doing sunday work in the future on other routes like 38,62 & 63 ! Its all to do with maximising the fuel savings these busses can offer compared to the standard E400 !

You can also see a Hybrid on the 1 early in the morning ! One of the trips on the 40 starts as a number 1 and ends up on the 40 mid morning , another working does the 991 to D.S.S Longbenton then interworks onto the 39/40

Same problems , losing power and cutting off because the generator doesnt charge the battery , although ADL have been on the job for earlier cases so problems should be ironed out rapidly !

Slatyford contribute 14 E400's to the 62/63
19162 (The postcode bus) has been on the X87/88 quite a few times since its swap to Slatyford.

22469 & 22471 have left Slatyford for Stockton .

13 in total , 10 of which are already in Service at slaty ! Just 19196/8/9 to be transferred from East to West . I wouldn't be suprised to see Newcastle apply for more green bus funding in the near future to upgrade the 62 & 63 to E400 Hyrbid operation and virtually wipe the MAN fleet out with E400 cast offs ! We'll see .

19202 was on the 22 today and isn't delicensed ! Two Hybrids collided with each other today in chapel house in the west end , one came off worse than the other and was towed all the way back to walkergate depot ! Fleet numbers unknown at the moment.

Was being towed up stamfordham road at around 17:15 ! I seen it but couldn't see any damage at the front so I'm presuming the damage is rear or side ! I thought it was another breakdown when I seen it being towed but found out it was an accident. Not sure if there will be any photos from chapel house but the fleetnumbers will probably get mooted soon , I couldn't see the reg or fleet number from where I was .

Aint having much luck with Enviro 400's full stop ! 19380 was sent to ADL twice within a year for repair work, 19203 has been to ADL for repair work , 19144 & 19149 have had repair work done , 19677 had its upstairs windscreen replaced 2 weeks into service and a few more walkergate ones have too ! 19151 burst into flames in killingworth and is at plaxton without a return date , a Hybrid E400 had its driver window smashed by another E400 on its 3rd day in service and half the fleet has suffered engine failure now two of them have collided and certainly one of them will end up at ADL for bodywork repairs ! That will almost certainly keep 19198 & 19199 at walkergate for the next 3 months.

Doubt it!

ADL don't do damage repairs - that's done by Plaxton at South Anston.
The E400 is designed to have components easily changed - provided no major damage has been done, the affected panels can be taken off and replaced and the vehicle back on the road the next day.

I've not seen the damage but I've herd from walkergate one of them was damaged more than the other hence why it was towed all the way back to walkergate from chapel house ! I was also told ADL did repair work to some extent but I'm not quite sure so I'll take your word for it plaxton do it instead , I know 19151 is there now god knows when that will return.

Don't forget that Plaxton is part of ADL, so really it is ADL doing the repairs. It's just that South Anston is more suited to repairs. As you can imagine, trying to repair a full vehicle in a factory that runs solely on production lines is difficult!

Yes when someone says there going to ADL I'm sure they've meant Plaxton at anston so probably just a mix up !
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
I've heard there not that bad and they'll be fixed in house at Walkergate ! One of them has no windscreen and wasn't able to be driven back but the other did get to walkergate on its own.

12065 on the 39 this evening and it had tell tail signs that it had been involved in a accident ! 2 of the 3 pannels that make up the front bumper (where the front reg plate is) were a darker shade of green to the pannel on the left hand side next to the doors.

12071 was in service today.

Yeah think we can safely say it was involved !

A Few ALX300's getting on the 32/A's lately , & Slatyford starting to field 5 Enviro 400's on the X87/X88 routes like they said which imo is Slatyford's busiest route behind the 62/3 ! Can easily just about fill a double deck at peak times.

Havent posted on here for a while, as it seems most of the information I post on the StagecoachNE yahoo groups gets relayed onto here.

But to clear a few things up:
12065 was involved in a separate RTA with a car a few weeks ago (hence the odd coloured panel), and had nothing to do with the accident on Tuesday. I dont have definate fleetnumbers but I believe 12074 was the one that was hit. Both should be okay to fix at Walkergate, but they wont see service for at least a week, maybe 2.

ALX300s wouldnt be getting used on the 32s, as theyre too big for the 33 and 35 which they interwork with. There is a morning contract run which does a full 32A, then running light to Fawdon to start the 30/31/36. MAN E200s however are seeing regular service on the 'Mini-bus' group.

19202 had been delicenced due to a serious RTA at the Freeman Hospital over a month ago (was in the Evening Chronicle), and Walkergate were awaiting parts for a new front end, after Police were finished with it.

Hope this is of interest.
