I think it's very basic for the company they are. Hope the designer of that didn't get paid much looks like something I could of thought of in year 2
I agree i feel that logo on the side near the back is out of place who thought to put it there must been a financial director or something. There's alot of space on it which has nothing on like on double deckers between the lower and upper like could atleast added a small logo above the door
Much prefer the stagecoach local livery and with the back looking like someone's behind or a womans front. Doesn't seem like it's even been out long since beachball

Personally I don’t hate it, but it is basic and the logo is poorly placed especially when it covers the windows.

The local livery and other variations were a misguided attempt to refresh the image but they didn’t meaningfully engage with their local managers who would’ve told them it was difficult to apply and to maintain. That’s why it was replaced.
Unfortunately, they’ve replaced it with something practical and easy to apply but utterly appalling in terms of marketing. The managers (of whom I know some) are also aware that it isn’t practical in so far as passengers struggle to spot their bus coming.
It’s another misstep for a previously sure footed firm.

I think whatever version they do should have white in somewhere like beachball and local as that was a big bit of there livery and branding in past. Plus this helps identify that its the same company with a new look if it's the same base. I'm sure if they want to look different they can redesign like how they did from beachball to local and make it look new and different to change there branding. Or even if they don't use white as a base use the blues they have used in past and oranges more and just put some white stripes or something or Give this livery a face lift or use the red and other colours from this. I wouldnt of changed it completely to a whole different thing
I must admit that I have warmed a little to it when it is clean and presentable, although the tagline above the windows irks a little when it is applied to something old “Spacious Comfy Seating” eg to a knackered old Solo or tired ex Manchester E400.
Local still annoys me. It’s not a bad livery if the rear beachballs are not “connected” creating the Marge Simpsons look. The recent repaints of the Winchester Park and Ride and Activ8 fleets as per the picture below omit this and look very smart - what Local should have been but wasn’t.
Beachball on the other hand was excellent and one that I don’t think can never be bettered. I feel they really managed to perfect it with the teardrop route branding.

However, perhaps the answer to the blandness of “We've got You” is to add some colour… or stripes to it as per the below template by Tazz Graphixx

Didn't release that stripes design existed that's what I kind of ment by giving the old white base stripes livery modernisation that's looks better than the current one. They should of picked that over the current oddly placed logos. And yes that Ativ8 local livery looks very good that back design on all the local designs would made that way.

I prefer it to the 'Local' livery (and longer distance yellow/special green variants), but "Beachball" will always be my favourite Stagecoach livery, which I still think looks modern and smart enough all these years later.
I would definitely get rid of the logo over the windows, particularly given it's then repeated next to the Stagecoach fleet name a matter of feet further forward on many vehicles, and save the space above the windows for route branding or something. The fact the above window text starts off with "CCTV for your safety" makes me think the need to highlight that implies bus travel has an unsafe reputation, and "Spacious, Comfy Seating" is a joke when I have to sit partly sideways as at a not particularly outrageous 6ft 1in height I can't actually sit straight due to the closeness of the seat in front.

In my local part of the Stagecoach empire there are just one DD and three (transferred in) SD buses in blue. In contrast we have six refreshed Pronto livery DDs tho that seems to have stopped now. My point is that the Prontos carry the strap line “connecting communities” which is soft and positive, whilst the blueies say “we’ve got you” which is aggressive and what the police might say when they collar a suspect. I know which I prefer.
It is nowhere near as good as Stripes & Beachball but is better than Local or the awful distance yellow. The problem with Local was it looked great when first applied but many replacement panels later, particularly on the lower ones it looks terrible.
We’ve got you’s biggest issue is the dark colour & the contravision over the windows which is never a good idea & looks a mess when windows are replaced.
Personally for the electric’s I would have gone with the livery on Stagecoach Yorkshire Rawmarsh based Yutong’s

Again, another smart version of Local that should have widely been adopted. I just find it so bizarre that they have come up with some smart liveries in between Local and We’ve Got You but chose to ignore it for Navy blue.
I actually think it is an affront to liveries to call the new Stagecoach one as all amounts to a base colour with a sticker pack.
I thought it would be a cold day in hell before First had a nicer national livery than Stagecoach yet here we are. (Appreciate that is subjective but it's my opinion!)

The only advantage as i see with the Stagecoach Blue is it will kill off school bus yellow/gold.

It needed to be split up with another colour and lose the hideous ridiculous vinyl at the back and again some depots are painting the headlight clusters and others aren’t it’s made me appreciate the local livery more all that needed was a bit of tweaking but beachball is still around and looking much better and Gold livery is what they should have made standard but German company saving money it seems only the uk really enjoys decent liveries other countries are very basic even the first ultraviolet looks boring when you look at all their other detailed liveries

This is due to when the vehicles were ordered the livery wasn't finalised so were ordered in local livery.
Surely this could have been changed?
I'm in the minority but I did not mind the "local" livery, I thought it was bright and makes the buses stand out, the opposite of what this new livery does. The bizzare thing for me was why wait around 3/4 of the way through applying this livery and then decide we need a new one because applying it and replacing broken panels is proven tricky. It's madness a company has got 3 fleet liveries on the go albeit perhaps interesting for any bus enthusiasts out there.
I don't know if its just me either but for such a basic livery, Stagecoach are certainly not rushing applying this livery widely across their buses either which suggests too me that they are not exactly happy how it looks.

Glad there not rushing appling new livery and if they dont like how looks change it again and It's mad to think one there's 3 livery in the numbers there is mabey if there was a few beachballs left in each region buts its still widely seen even with the amount of locals there is now but I'm not complaining that beachball hasn't gone yet. I don't mind local livery either to be honest it's just the back they need to make a solid orange not the curved orange whatever design

One thing i did notice yesterday evening whilst getting a bus in the new Stagecoach Navy Blue livery. It was only by the orange led destination screen that i saw the bus approaching. I never used to have that problem with stripes, beachball or local livery!

That is something that I’ve seen mentioned elsewhere. The dark blue “livery” looks truly awful when buses are covered with a liberal coating of road dirt!
I don’t know the exact details why it couldn’t be changed earlier but I know that for Enviro400EVs the last batch to be delivered in local livery will be 80294-80312 with 80313 onwards being in navy.

No, I quite like it, it's understated and professional. I do think the big "beachball" at the back should be an outline rather than a coloured one, though, as it's a bit overpowering on the blue, and a dark grey skirt would round it off very nicely.

I think it looked terrible. I called it "Fisher Price livery" and I meant it, it looked like it was designed by a 5 year old. The only livery of that generation I liked was the overall light green used on the Cambridgeshire Busway vehicles which has more in common with the blue in design terms. As for the express one, who on earth thought it a good idea to paint high value, high quality coach vehicles in school bus yellow? Absolutely nuts.
To be honest there was nowt wrong with "beachball", despite it having been around for a good while it always looked fresh and both bright and professional, and lent itself well to variants using the same recognisable shapes but different colours, e.g. the excellent Lakes scheme which keeps the "swoosh" at the back but turns it into a hill!

The beach all livery was professionally designed. The dark skirt and lower rear panels minimised the impact of road dirt and the white ‘tween decks on double deckers ( or the midships section on single deckers) allowed adverts to be carried without breaking up the overall impact of the livery. It also leant itself to route branding to a greater or lesser degree - this ranged from simple details of the route concerned to the use of different base colours but in the same corporate style. It didn’t look too bad when modified for use on trains either!

I used to think the Stagecoach Distance livery was analogous to the prior Stagecoach Gold livery, until I noticed that a Scania E300 in this livery based at Northampton still had short-back Lazzerini seats, unlike the E200MMCs that ran from Nuneaton which had more coach-style seating. Most E300s at Northampton that got repainted were repainted into the Local livery, adding a layer of inconsistency to the situation.
