Stagecoach in Hants & Surrey changes

It's quite difficult discussing Stagecoach buses topics in Hants & Surrey, so I'll create this thread about it, maybe extending it to the entire Southern area.

All I have to say is that the Gold 1 service (Camberley Old Dean - Aldershot) will have hourly overnight services from 28th July.

From the same date the KITE will be operated solely by Aldershot depot, rather than a split between there and a Peasmarsh (I believe most workings are currently by the latter). Some minor timetable amendments as a result.

From September, there are more extensive service changes. From the Hants & Surrey Bus Blog:

17: Aldershot to Wrecclesham
Additional weekday 0710 Aldershot to Farnham railway station journey introduced.

18: Aldershot to Whitehill
Weekday 0700 Aldershot to Whitehill journey replaced by a new 0710 Aldershot to Farnham railway station journey on route 17. 0810 Aldershot to Whitehill retimed.

65X: Alton College to Phoenix Green
0708 Phoenix Green to Alton College journey withdrawn.

83: Collingwood College to Bagshot
Revised afternoon journey – more when known.

402: All Hallows School to Pinewood Park
Morning journey retimed to depart Pinewood Park two minutes earlier, and afternoon journey to arrive back there two minutes later.

404: Farnborough Colleges to Wrecclesham
The first and last ‘short’ journeys that start/finish in Farnham town centre are extended to/from Farnham Hospital, to replace altered 405 (see below). Some minor retimings at intermediate points also.

405: Farnborough Colleges to Wrecclesham
Retimed and diverted between Farnborough and Weydon Estate via the Farnham bypass and Farnham railway station, instead of Farnham town centre. Farnham town centre served by amended 404 (see above).

406: Farnborough Colleges to California
Minor retimings to all three journeys.

408: Farnborough Colleges to Odiham
Route withdrawn between Odiham and Hartley Wintney, with the 1445 journey withdrawn completely. Passengers travelling to Frogmore, Yateley and Eversley Cross can use the 406.

417: Farnborough Colleges to Chobham
Minor retimings to both journeys.

418: Farnborough Colleges to Whitehill
Morning journey revised to start at Whitehill turning circle, departing there seven minutes later, and then revised timings throughout. Afternoon journey terminates at Sleaford (Country Market). Passengers for Bordon and Whitehill should change at Farnham railway station for route 18, which runs 12 minutes behind.

423: Farnborough Colleges to Whitehill
Route withdrawn due to “very low usage”. Route 418 provides an alternative morning option for passengers from Whitehill and Bordon, with passengers returning in the afternoon advised to use route 1 to Aldershot, then route 18 from there.

441: All Hallows School to Southwood
Morning journey given extra running time and arrives at the school five minutes later, and back in Southwood three minutes later.

494: Farnborough Colleges to Spencer’s Wood
Route withdrawn between Spencers Wood and Crowthorne. Afternoon journey retimed to depart the colleges five minutes later, and then 6-7 minutes later beyond.

It’s now been announced that from September, the 42 will be withdrawn and 41 re-routed, extended in length but cut in operating hours.

For me, I've always seen the 41 and 42 bus empty or close to empty. In fact, I think this decision may attract passengers, but the original 0700-1700 structure 41/42 had should remain the same.

Gold 1 (Aldershot to Camberley Old Dean) will have a half-hourly service between 0700-1900 on Christmas Day.

1: Old Dean to Aldershot
The current Tuesday to Sunday morning 0400 Aldershot to Camberley and return 0440 Camberley to Aldershot journeys will both additionally run on Monday mornings.

9: Alton to Manor Estate
Revised timetable - more when known.

13/13X/613: Haslemere to Basingstoke
The college days only 0905 Whitehill to Alton College journey will be withdrawn, however this is essentially a duplicate running five minutes ahead of the 0854 Liphook to Basingstoke journey. The college days only 1238 Alton College to Liphook journey will also be withdrawn, however the 1120 Basingstoke to Haslemere journey will continute to serve Alton College at 1205 and run half hour earlier than the withdrawn journey beyond Alton town centre. On college days a later journey remains on the 1220 from Basingstoke, which serves the college at 1305 and becomes a 23 in Alton, which maintains a link to Kingsley, Bordon and Whitehill.

18X: Alton College to Haslemere
Morning journey replaced by a new journey on route 23, numbered 23X.

23/23X: Alton to Haslemere
New morning journey numbered 23X introduced to replace a similar journey on route 18X.

65X: Alton College to Phoenix Green
The lunchtime journeys will be withdrawn – 1235 Phoenix Green to Alton College, and 1340 Alton College to Phoenix Green. The morning and evening trips will remain unchanged.

The timetable for the Alton circular route 9 has now been released. The 1000 and 1020 journeys remain unchanged, however the two 1130 and 1150 trips are replaced by three new journeys at 1200, 1220 and 1240.

The 28 Bordon town service will be replaced by a Taxishare from the start of February 2020.

Service 28 began operating in February 2018 under contract to Hampshire County Council. That contract runs until Saturday 1st February 2020, which will be the last day of operation of the 28 bus service. The bus will be replaced from that date by a Taxishare service procured by Hampshire County Council.

From 29th March 2020, there will be changes on a few routes in order to cater the needs of some schools along their routes.

18: Aldershot to Bordon/Whitehill
The weekday 0832 service from Whitehill to Aldershot will be retimed to run at 0825.

An extra journey will run on weekdays at 0915 from Whitehill to Aldershot.

23: Alton to Haslemere
The schooldays-only 0741 service and school holidays-only 0746 service from Haslemere to Bordon will both be retimed to run at 0735, to better suit students travelling to Oakmoor School in Bordon. This journey will no longer divert via Headley Holme School.

The schooldays 1510 service from Headley Holme School to Hindhead will be withdrawn following changes in council home-to-school funding arrangements.
