After taking a gap year my child is now heading back to Uni, now whilst off he more or less worked full time to get some money saved. After looking at Staff travel I see this
Child under 25 in full-time education (you must add the name of the school/college/university).
You can use this category for your child when they are:
A - In Full Time Education
B - In Full Time Education but previously earned over the weekly threshold so now has to prove has no earnings.
Please attach:
a letter from the educational establishment showing the start and end dates of the course and confirming it is a full time course
Additionally for ‘C’ above - If they are in their first year of their course you will also need to provide a copy of their P45 as proof they are no longer working and an OCA41 (employment History Letter from HMRC). If they are in the second year of their course or later only the OCA41 is additionally needed.
He has the education letter but went over the threshold for earnings (just above minimum wage for his age) and any info from HMRC will show that and he is still working full time right up until Uni starts back in a week or so. Will this have any affect on whether he is eligable for the travel pass?
