Hi,
Just wondering the cheapest way to get to Gatwick with a friend. Seems very complicated!
I'm meeting my friend at St Pancras off his EMT service this Thursady. We are both then travelling to Gatwick via Thameslink off peak. We will returning next Monday, off peak again.
I have a Annual Gold card and zone 1-3 travelcard loaded onto my oyster.
Should I use my oyster from St Pancras to Gatwick and buy my friend a paper ticket with the Gold card discount? Or are paper tickets better for both of us?
Will my oyster be charged £4.10 (the Sydenham to Gatwick fare shown on tfl) by tapping in at St Pancras thameslink and out again at Gatwick?
Sorry if this seems obvious but the TFL website barely mentions Gatwick.
Cheers
