St Pancras to Euston

Just a quick one for those in the area, If you leave St Pancras by the side entrance, straight below the EMT arrival platforms where the taxis wait, is there a pretty direct route on foot to Euston? Im trying to avoid the main road, as my partner is pregnant and ill have 2 large ish cases to drag, obviously I don't want anyone bashing into my partner and I don't want to be tripping people up with my cases!

Its only really from the St Pancras to the British Library that's usually crammed with people, due to the narrow pavements because of the building going on at St Pancras, so that's the main bit I want to avoid.

Plus it will be a Sunday, around 4pm, so hopefully it won't be as busy as normal anyway! Fingers crossed!

I have only ever rushed along the main road form Euston to KGX so am not sure if there is a quicker route but it is only 5 minutes and as you say should be quiet on a Sunday afternoon/early evening.

Might be good to know if there is a "quick route"! Might help me make a few more connections!

If you come out of St Pancras by the taxi rank on Midland Road, turn right.
Then go left into Brill Place (behind teh British Library) & follow this into Phoenix Road.
This takes you to Eversholt Street - turn left & you are at Euston.
the only busy bit is crossing Eversholt street.
about half a mile.

I would generally use the route Left along Midland road then Euston Road & Churchway when it is dark.

Yes turn right onto Midland Road then first left into Brill place, keep straight on and over into Pheonix Road and keep straight. This then takes you to Eversholt Street; turn left for Euston. A quieter route but not the most pleasant of areas.

Cheers for that, Looking at the map I could just take the side entrance out of St Pancras and take the straight left down to the library, from what I remember its not to bad from the library along Euston Road. Avoids the normal busy areas around the front of St Pancras.

I've used both, I'd say time wise it is definitely six and two threes. The route round the houses has less people, but much smaller pavements...

Absolutely. As you go out of St. Pancras turn right/cross the road, take the first left and then continue walking in as straight a line as possible until you get to Euston. As it's a Sunday you don't have to worry about the school kids who would be a menace at that time on a week day. It's not the best for wheely cases, but it's still a much better route.

Correct - you wouldn't! The two stations are so close together that I'm pretty sure that it's about the same distance to walk through the two tube stations as just walking between the stations. Indeed it will take longer to get the tube!

Bus might be the quickest (public transport) way, but not in rush hours... which is most of the time! :P

One point - you've put point B at Eversholt and Grafton, but I seem to remember a stairway at Evershot and Doric, which would be a shorter way up into Euston?

I find the bus viable Euston - St Pancras but not the other way round as you have to cross Euston road at St Pancras (and possibly again at Euston - or wait longer for a bus that goes into the bus station)

Pregnant lady = shortest route possible. Forget the crowds. Forget every other aspect. I'd shout for a taxi if she is really big. Round the side. It won't take long. Just be sure to let the taxi driver know, that you know it's only round the corner.
