It is nice to see an East Coast amended timetable pdf! I thought they had stopped producing them, or at least letting the public see them?
Much easier to understand what is happening when you can see the whole timetable...

Good to see an example of inter-company co-operation and an illustration of how certain parts of the industry recognise that passengers would prefer to stay on a train even when the diversionary route is much longer and involves an extra change. Will those on here who automatically assume that anything other than buses is "too difficult" in this sort of situation please note that it ain't always so?

I've just noticed this morning, that on 27th December, when Peterborough station is closed, EMT is extending some of their Nottingham services through to Grantham, to connect with EC services north from there.

Interesting co-operation between EC and EMT!

Well EMT owe them a favour ;) During the Nottingham blockade EC services were making extra stops at Grantham to pick up EMT passengers and take them to Peterborough.

I wonder if this wasn't planned, EC help out EMT during the summer then in return EMT help out EC during the winter?

...but probably also scooping up a lot of EMT's London revenue from people deciding if they had to go to EM Parkway they might as well go to Grantham for a faster train.

Have you been reading my thread? :D

As you can see, I totally agree with you. What I would love to know is why East Coast thought the Peterborough station closure was more important than the Lincoln diversions, so the former gets an amended timetable produced, and you have to rely on journey planners for the later!

It doesn't make much sense to me!
