Looking for anyone who has been to the area or lives close. I'll be making a journey next month and will be stopping off at St. Bees for around an hour. From what I can see on Google Street View there is a PO/paper shop, two pubs near to the station (think Albert Hotel and Queens Hotel?), and there is also some sort of restaurant thing on the station itself.

Anyone got any experience of any of these places for either a drink or food? If tehre isn't anywhere decent for food I might go further up the line or take stuff with me.

If you only have an hour to spare, there is not much more to do in that time but to walk along the sea front and along Cross Hill and Main Street. If there was any further time, the area of sandstone bluffs at St Bees Head is quite interesting.

Turns out I'm only there for half an hour and not an hour as I first thought. Probably enough time to pop to the paper shop and back.
