I've been doing some research into the Sprinter classes, and one question has come up which I can't seem to work out or find the answer to.

What happens if you energize two doors panels on a sprinter at the same time?

Although to be pedantic, you can.

To energise a Door Panel on a Sprinter you have to turn the Door Key Switch (DKS) on.

On a 158 or 159, the DKS is specific to the door panel you are using, however on a 150,153, 155 and 156* the DKS relates to the end of the train your at, so if you turn the DKS on at one location the door panels on either side at that location will energises, allowing you to use either, however you will have no need to normally. At this point you wouldnt be able to energise a door panel at any other location on the train made up of Sprinters.

*Scotrail 156s additional Door Panels fitted at the inner ends of the unit, these have there own DKS.

If you try to energise two door panels the driver guard communication buzzer sounds continuously until you de-energise one.

It energises the flux capacitor.
(fortunately most types of Sprinter can't do over 88 mph, otherwise there'd be chaos.)
