Spotting in Genoa

Hello RF patrons,

I'm currently vacationing with my partner in La Spezia, not far from the Italian National Museum of Transport (I intend to visit this during our stay).

On our way back we will have a day in Genoa, and I intend to spend some time on a platform somewhere to watch the freight and/or other traction, as there seems to be a lot goigg on in the area. Has anyone got any recommendations? Ronco Scrivia looks like a decent possible station to hang out at from the track layout, but I'm keen on any suggestions you may have!

Sorry I can’t help your goods spotting question, but can I recommend the narrow gauge Casella Railway, which is rather quaint.
