Hi everyone I was just wondering if it’s still okay to spot at Crewe these days. It’s about 10 years since I last went. Thanks.

Absolutely fine.
Although be warned that the platform staff are very ‘shouty’ at people who go over the yellow line.

Although you may be disappointed, as most of the freight uses the avoiding lines and cannot be seen from the platforms.

I bet they're not as 'shouty' as the staff on platforms 13 & 14 at Manchester Piccadilly! ;)
Crewe took shouting at passengers to a whole new level. I'm not sure if they still have them but platform staff were issued with personal megaphones. You could hear them shouting at passengers on Platform 5 from Platform 12.
