Spotters Notebook

I was in W H Smiths the other day and noticed they sold a 'Spotters Notebook'
This was not just blank or ruled pages but had columns headed 'date' 'location' 'ref/number' etc.
Not specifically designed for trains it could be used for any kind of transport, or wildlife for that matter.

I cannot find it listed on their website, and a Google search failed to find anything.

Is anyone else aware of these, and are there others on the market that may be even better for train spotting?

Of course I do realise a straight forward notepad will suffice, but this was pocket sized, looked good, and keeps a neat well presented record, that could be kept with others on a book shelf if desired for future reference.

And Ian Allen! I remember my father helping me tick class 40s off and when we had 40012 from Warrington to Leeds and he didn't believe me that it was a 40 and thought it was a peak. Me at 3 years old was right

Didn't rail enthusiast produce a booklet like that. I'm sure I was given a copy but never used it. I'll have to have a look to see if I can find it.

1) If it's something stocked on stations it will have the sum total of sod all to do with what is on the website, as they are within two divisions of the company that do not talk to eachother. WHST and WHSR.

2) These goods could have been ordered locally by a single manager using their discretionary stock budget, I'll keep an eye out for them on Piccadilly and Euston.

Reminds me of John Menzies at stations, full selection of Platform 5 pocket books and A5 vinyl covers!

Turns out they stock these at the WHsmith in Dorchester, Which is not a travel shop WHsmith(clearly).

It should be green, with a fake leather cover if anybody is looking for it.
